in The Twitter Spam Problem on BestTechie.net
There isn't going to be a cure for this problem. Twitter is becoming a mainstream tool just like Google(Internet Marketers) and TV(Paid Infomercials). That's just the reality of today's society. Everything that gets the worlds attention (or at least the United States) is at some point going to be subject to spam whether we like it or not. Unless there one day becomes a "cure" for spam this is just another obstacle that we're going to have to maneuver around.
That's the only way I can see this. Really, Twitter can't help it. I mean look at Youtube- They tried to stop people from putting links into their comment system..... Did this help prevent spam? No, it didn't. Google developed a link system to prevent spam.... That didn't work either because internet marketers figured it out.
All in all, there's really nothing we can do about this problem unless we get rid of spam all together. It's not a step by step process, it's something that needs to happen instantly.

I wondered what that was. It happened to me up here in Canada as well. It wasn't just Google search though, it hit Gmail as well. It pretty much just paused my life.

in Will UStream Be Changing To .COM? on BestTechie.net
@easy_way I don't think it's the problem of the actual domain going away. .Com has just been so widely used that they probably want to get in on it. The .TV domain feels like a chore to write out so they're probably trying to make themselves more accessable to the simplistic.
Remember that old .TV button they used to have as their brand? I remember it was pretty big if you had that button because it was the "official" live video button. That seems to have veered off course and disappear. It looks like Ustream is finally trying to become a mainstream website.

in Spanish Flu (Swine Flu) Symptoms - Medical Symptoms Pages on Medical Symptoms Database
It's really unfortunate that such a epidemic has begun yet again. First Sars, then the Avian Flue, and now a mix between Avian, Pig, and Human Flu? This one seems to be the worst we've seen yet.

Wow Leo, Nice find. It's amazing what spring can bring you. Unfortunately I still have a whole load of snow that will probably take another two months to melt. Going to be a while until I see anything even close to that.

Thank you, this has been a enormous help. Someone should start a website just for WicketPixie how-to information.

Would be a smart idea, providing updates to the theme would also be a benefit to the people who use it, as Chris doesn't seem to be updating it any more. Sadly all of that is beyond my ability and I got so annoyed with the theme I stopped using it

Ya I don't think this should stay. It feels like it takes up half the page(although it doesn't), but I'm not sure I'd want to let my users feel that way. It just feels big.

yeh..think I'll put it back the way it was. When I'd put it on top, it covered the buttons/links there..

I heard Picasa for Mac isn't working so well right now. Is this true? If so i recomend waiting a little while before attempting to use it.

Thanks for the link, however i'd be interested to know how you were able to find the amount of clicks you received from the Tweet. I can't find information about that anywhere.

You sure dug into Leo's life there. He's sure become a powerful influence on larger companies in today's market. The history he also brings into technology is just tremendous.

Twitter gives you access to things that you wouldn't be able to. Twitter is also great for advertising your content, and sharing information with the world. Tell me do you hear news on CNN before Twitter? I think not.

in Qik and Quicker on LOL: Life of Leo
This looks really good, but wouldn't eat up an immense amount of bandwidth? It still looks really interesting. Now all we need is for the video/mobile internet quality on your cellphone networks to improve more so we can make this an every day tool.

Leo i must say that you guys did an excellent job with the show on Tuesday. It was really nice to really show how much technology has influenced politics in our day and age. Look at Barack Obama, he's all over the internet now, even after the campaign finished. Once again great job on the show.

This seems pretty interesting. I don't think that i would use it though. I don't really care for friend feed. The idea is good, but still needs some work and improvement. Agree?

Chris also has a past history within technology, first starting out at Tech Tv. He also has connections, and the ability to make new and strong connections. He makes good quality blogs. After all he does have a degree in English. He also doesn't just have a webcam, he has an actual webcam, and he takes pride in his Videos. This is his profession. He is a "professional" at what he does.

That honestly reminds me of my own dog, except we refer it to the vaccum cleaner. Hey it's a mans best friend what can you do. My dog has been very useful over the years, expecially when i accidently leave a mess. Unfortunatly my dog tends to like socks. Always picking them out of the laundery then carrying them to places where i am least likely to go. I got about 10 single socks with the other one lost out there in the world somewhere never to be seen again.

Wow. I just started to watch these shows, and was actually enjoying it. Unfortunatly The Techtv channel in Canada is really hard to find, and i was only able to watch the lab with leo like 5 times. I just started liking it and now its cancelled. I also wish Techtv was a little more accessable.

in A Look At Radio Today on BestTechie.net
This is very interesting. I also think that the use of internet broadcasting is becoming very big. I have an aritcle on my blog bradley.bradwelltv.com. I mean i think it has become so much easier to blog, broadcast, podcast, and so many other ways of communicating. The problem is though in my opinion is that there are starting to become to many and that is becomming problimatic for the world of broadcasting. I think that the era of broadcasting through video and audio might be coming to a close within the near future. Now internet broadcasting might take a little while longer to simmer down, but i think that the normal radio you hear in your 1980's car is done. Most people now days have sattalite radio in their car now.

in The iPod Success: Thank The Marketing Department on BestTechie.net
I agree. You pretty much told us all of the history the world knows of the Ipod. I honestly do not think that there will be anything competative for the Apple products in the near future. By this i mean 5 to 10 years. My only question is weather the next big audio device will be made by Apple or Microsoft, or by some other random company
Thanks
