I left the republican party in 2001, after the idiotic and highly unconservative move to untax the ultra wealthy. I ranted and I raved on the direction we were headed since then.

Unfortunately, everything I ranted about surprisingly came true.

The party I used to call home is broken, and broken badly. It is no longer the party of conservatives. It is now the party of bible thumping lunatics (See Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, etc. States known for low percentages of college grads.) who have no idea how to govern effectively.

They broke our toys. They should not be allowed to play with them again.
