I use Google Finance every day to generate hundreds of visitors to my site. Most bounce fairly quickly because they are tracking specific stocks and seek information about that specific company.

However, it really helps with brand awareness, and attracting potential subscribers to your site.

This is a great idea! I'm surprised it took this long to surface.

Showing subscribers stats provides undeniable social proof, which is HUGE in online business.
