I think you're following your gut instinct and experimenting to see what the right ratio is for you. You are really conscious and you'll be able to tell what is working and what's not. I am always tweaking what I'm doing and probably always will. We are wonderful works in progress!!

I've noticed the more alkaline I am, the more I gravitate towards certain foods. I guess our vibration gets a little higher in that space and our spirits get those messages more clearly. I've been obsessed with fresh tomato and basil salads from my garden for two weeks straight. I eat one or two everyday.

Pineapple is spectacular and I love it juiced with cilantro.....perhaps I'll try to make that happen today.

I think Jen's comment is good wisdom. If you are really active, however, then it is still really baffling. I am very fascinated by your research with this. I certainly battle insulin resistance and have all of the effect that go along with that scenario. I am pretty sure the high fruit intake during my last 40 days of juice feasting was the reason I didn't lose any additional weight.
Will be eager to hear more as this unfolds.

I am so excited for you!! This is going to be so encouraging to so many people out there who are battling their own personal weight issues. It is something I've struggled with myself for many years and raw food/juice feasting has been a perfect fit. (I'm down from a 16 to an 8 now!!)

Wendi....what a marvelous retreat! I have been so eager to know how everything went, so thank you for taking the time to give us the details. Raw Food preparations for groups is exhausting. When I used to sell my food at our local farmer's market, I worked myself into burnout. It took me months to get my passion for making food back. But I learned so very much, just as I know you did too. KDCat was such a blessing to have as your partner in the kitchen! She is a sweet little angel, just like her mommy!
