richpalmer Thanks! It actually went fairly well. Saved a lot of production time that's for sure.

in The brand promise of Apple on Scobleizer
PS: I immensily admire Apple's marketing, and find Microsoft's embarrassing at times. In fact, if I knew anything of marketing, I would offer my services for free to Microsoft just to end this mess. But in the end, the user should look past marketing.

I so love this entry. As a programmer (and I actually wrote a small OS myself a long time ago) I have always known the stupidity of the Mac vs. Windows claims, but choose to remain silent. After all, they were hardly ever based on facts. But I'm glad you're speaking up Robert, and enjoying it :)

And Apple only has to make it work on their own hardware, while Windows has to work on thousands of different machines. Sometimes this little thing is forgotten by Mac lovers. But hey, I am biased because I make a living writing software for Windows ;)

in I’m writing for Fast Company magazine on Scobleizer
Before google I had piles of books on or around my desk, to name a few: 'DirectX in 24 hours', 'Advanced Graphics Programming for Windows', 'Programmer's Guide to Windows 95'. Costs a fortune and takes up a lot of space. I hardly buy any books now and thanks to google have the equivalent of an entire library at my disposal. For free!

So without Google, I doubt I would have build programs like CastBlaster, WinPodder, VidBlaster or StudioRack :)

I'm a developer, I use Microsoft Visual Studio, *and* I watch your show. Mmm...
