The closer you can eat your food in its natural state, the better. Jack Lalanne once said "If man touches it, don't eat it". I think he knows what he's talking about when it comes to proper diet and fitness!

- Dave

Re: Devotional for Men: True and False Manliness | The Art of Manliness

Wow, I loved this article, and it was beautifully written. Real truths are truly timeless, and that's what this post. I particularly like the thought about how young men, in an attempt to be manly, take on men's vices as opposed to their virtues. The only problem is that today it seems that grown men, not to mention our whole popular culture, celebrate the vices, and denigrate the virtue.

- Dave

Re: Three Phrases Men Everywhere Stumble Over — Yet Women Long to Hear

I really enjoy the art of manliness too. A lot of the advice and wisdom found here wouldn't have been considered advice or wisdom once upon a time. It seems we nee to relearn this stuff. I'm not really sure why that is. I do think it's saying something not overly positive about our society though.

- Dave

Re: 5 Gut Busting Conditioning Drills from the Gridiron

I never played Football in High School, but these are fantastic exercises that should help anyone. The exercise I like the best is hill sprints. Basically, you find a hill that isn't too steep, and you sprint up it for a max of 30 seconds, then walk down. Do this 5 times, and you'll have all the cardio you need.

- Dave

Re: Manvotional: The Man in The Arena by Theodore Roosevelt

The last line concerning the timid souls who know neither victory or defeat really hit home for me. I'm starting up my own health and fitness business at the moment and it can be a little scary. However, I'd rather have this feeling than be one of those timid souls. Thanks for this.

- Dave

Re: Saturday Link Roundup

I just surfed in from another website. I love your stuff, and thanks for the links! I particularly liked the stuff on grains at Mark's site. I plan to check in on a regular basis to see what you're up too.

- Dave

Re: How Not to Use Twitter

I'm not sure if I agree with Allison above. People are emotional, and all are usually proud of their hometown, even if it's not London or Paris. It always pays just to be polite, especially if you're blasting out messages over Twitter!

- Dave

Re: Quick Blog Tips For Fast Results

Thanks for the tip on the proper use of tags and categories. They are the best at internet search, period. They are constantly working to find new and better ways to get people the information they are looking for. When they make changes, it may affect a website here or there. However, they are not doing it to be malicious. They are only doing it to improve their search functionality for their customers. I've been exploring this MMO niche for almost a month now, and I can see what you mean with the 3 levels of bloggers. I suspect that if you want to start a blog from scratch, and you're not interested in becoming a level 3 blogger, you'd be well advised to blog about just about any other subject than MMO. It's something I'm definitely thinking about anyway.

- Dave

Re: Successful Marketing and Promoting Tips In Social Networking Sites

I haven't really looked into the social media world at all yet, but I definitely plan to. I found this great site that has various social media sites separated by category.
