in Amazon Affiliates Burned At The Stake By Kindle? on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I'm going to echo some of the comments above. My prediction is that the Kindle will live about as long than the diVx DVD's they were hawking a few years ago at Circuit City. This seems like a poor rush at a solid idea. At the very best the technology behind this will spurn better units in the future. As it stands now I wouldn't try to find a 2nd job just yet all ye' affliliates!

Kudos Andy. You run a great blog here and it's good that you get some love in return for all that you do. Hopefully this will help grow your reach even further.

in Converting Visitors Into Subscribers on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
Awesome work man. This is far superior to what you had before. I'd like to see a followup down the road to find out how the testing works out for you and to see if this actually converts more/less people into subscribers than your other methods.

Cheers mate!

Andy Beard Greg you are one of the people who enquired about the previous code, so I am glad you like it.

It is hard to track specific signup rate for new visitors as most people seem to use bookmarklets.

I just think it is a little cleaner, but still "noticeable"

in Internet Marketing Geeks Tried To Kill Me Yesterday on Jim Kukral
I believe this is why a lot of SEO firms go for niche phrases. Content and Relevancy are still at play here and though I'm sure most of those companies would like to come up for a more general search like "stop anxiety attack" but if you plug that in you'll find it riddled with lots of resources. There are of course marketers on top of there game here but perhaps that's why wikipedia has become such a wide spread destination.

in No One Reads Your Terms of Service on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
Imagine trying to make your first dime off of that in court. Lucky for me, my laziness and busy schedule prevailed and I never got around to linking back. Looks like I'll be courtcase free! lol

Oi! 40 bones seems kinda steep. I think I'd be more likely to try my own in photoshop or maybe toss $3 towards: http://www.cartoonme.com/

in Cleveland Internet & Marketing Gurus Know How To Deliver The Goods on Jim Kukral
This is an interesting observation Joel. Cleveland is in a pretty old school mentality I think. It looks at business and success in the way that oil companies look at energy. Anything outside of the frame isn't important as it's beyond their scope of vision. Credibility doesn't even enter into it because comprehension of the field of influence isn't an option.

NEO has many many problems-- from public education to mass media to urban sprawl to the Fulton Rd. Bridge and way beyond.. It would be nice though if the area could give some credit where credit is due.

Or wait, maybe that's up to us?

in Wikipedia Links No Longer Passing PageRank on Marketing Pilgrim
I would guess that the inherit problem with this is that the majority of people linking in, probably have no clue what “nofollow” or linking is really about in the eyes of the search engine so I doubt any significant change could be brought to this by that action.

It will definately be interesting to see how this all sorts out.

in Exactly Why Nofollow at Wikipedia is bad on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I can't help but think that this is a huge step towards completely ruining the spirit of the project. It seems to go against what social media is all about, 2 way communications. On the net that road isn't always travelled in words but in links and trackbacks and relevancy. Hording indeed.
