Personally I only use them for those favourite chains you mention. If I really wanted to favourite some blogs then I'd either use a proper feed reader and collect my favourite blogs for example in some Google application or in Bloglines. Or I'd simply have bookmarked them in my browser.

Re: Blogging Productivity & Criticizing Goals

It is fascinating to read about how one man can start such a big snowball as the dofollow movement has become, congratulations on that.

You mentioned Technorati favourites. Podcasting is definitely something that I've considered, I just have this feeling that my blog needs to grow a whole lot before I start doing podcasts. What size do you feel the blog needs to be before people start doing podcasts?

Re: PlugIM Contest and I am in it.

I have to admit that I hadn't heard about exactly that service before, thanks for linking us up with it. The world needs more positive thinking like that. Heh, if you are lucky then this might take off and get into mainstream media. I feel that is a potential winner so I hope the owner advertises it properly.

Re: BarCamp Montreal A Great Success, But…

You make a good point about allowing more breaks. I'm not familiar with these *Camp conferences but the conferences I've been so lucky to attend have had many of their best discussions after the formal presentations where people can simply chat freely about what is on their mind. Of course the organizers might somehow feel they were slacking off by cutting down the number of presentations but as you describe it then it sounds to me that it is much needed. Good luck with future *Camp's and hope you get more chance to relax and chat freely.

Re: Beginning with Zechariah

Congratulations to both of you. I guess I'll end the story with: "And they lived happily ever after..."

Re: The Authority on Technorati

I like the new layout. By calling it now authority then I wonder if Technorati will be experimenting by adding more parameters into how they value the authority of a page, for example if having a link from a big page will weigh more than a link from a small page and thus somehow created their own PageRank system just for blogs.
