Thank you. Yes, I said that wrong before.

Hippies love freedom from clarity.

Perhaps. Perhaps a 40 and 300 word response to 4 word jokes you don't think are funny is a little much.

OK. Do you have the name of the ORM framework project? I am googling a bit but not getting a obvious quick hit.

Because it seems at least a little unlikely to me. And the codec and testing framework examples don't really convince me that Dan is considerably mistaken.

Do you have a source for the claim that Microsoft employees have given "other code contributions" to moonlight?

If that works for you, great. My comment was just a silly little comment that hardly deserved a response. So if it saves me from the lecturing, great!

Shareing fits perfectly into a free market, capitalist society. I'm makeing book reccommendations this morning, only because I've been interested in this subject over the pasty, but I think you would find Buisness for the Glory of God very helpful. It's really short, perfect for someone starting thier own buisness.

dancameron Yeah, like I told Jacqui, I'm not sure where I was going with "sharing". Maybe I was talking about some sort of re-distribution and providing for the dis-advantaged.

Funny, I'm reading a book by F.A. Hayek. The Road to Serfdom. Being a loved classic, it's a pretty good argument against economic planning even though he does advocate social saftey nets.

I find putting words in the mouth of sad Jesuse offensive. I agree, lame delivery.

in Alaskans Speak (In A Frightened Whisper): Palin Is “Racist, Sexist, Vindictive, And Mean.” | The LA Progressive on Dan Cameron
Dan, you are better than this thinly source demagoguery.

dancameron I never said I believed it. I tried to express that I didn't. I just found
it interesting that may be how "Alaska" is, which I don't doubt - I doubt
what Palin was accused of saying.

I would have to mention, if these types of things would have come out
against Obama it would be spread across the major news networks - if you
call Fall a major news network.

Just look at all of these falsehoods spread as "fact":

Steve,
That's a good list. I wish neither Obama or Palin needed these sites,

but there's always factcheck.org, which does a great job.

It's not really fair to think only of the deficit when discussing tax cuts since the federal deficit is not only a function of income but also of spending. While it is point of debate in this particular instance whether the lower taxes actually increased federal revenue (check out the corporate tax revenue after 2003 though), it most certainly does happen when the tax rates are much too high. Also, it is pretty clear I think that the economy was strengthened in many ways from those tax cuts. Increasing employment levels at the end of 2003 up until just recently are often cited in support of this.

My point though was that McCain believes that thy have been positive, which would naturally cause him to reassess his position making the charge of flip-flop unfair.

I think the flip-flop accusation gets thrown around a lot too much. Changing your mind isn't a flip-flop. For instance, if you consider McCain's position on the Bush tax cuts you will find that he never had a philosophical objection to cutting taxes, and now that he has seen the positive effect that they had it is natural for him to modify his position.

Flip-flopping should be reserved for a special kind of verbal gymnastics. Unwilling to commit to a side through vagaries or what not. Significantly changing presentation depending on the audience. Unwillingness to make a strong defence of a serious policy. These are things that show character flaws or sloppy thinking that should lower confidence in a candidate.

dancameron There's been a positive effect on the tax cuts? I haven't seen anything that supports the huge tax cuts for the top 2% have been good for our economy. I've only seen our deficit increase dramatically.

It is way out of the bounds of the federal government. Evilly overstepping its charter. Also, consider that 85% of high school graduates take two or more years of foreign language mainly to fulfil college entrance requirements. Do

When I first saw this news elsewhere and also the the news about the price changes at iTunes I was wondering if you were still alive since I didn't hear about it from you first, but now I see your back on top of things and also I see you're calculating disaster costs in terms of iPhones so yeah, I guess your ok.

I'm betting it's a packaging error. Since you're a paying customer you should demand they fix it.

is glibc the failed dependency or are you trying to upgrade glibc?

I'm interested in the list the libre (not sure but I don't think the Shared Source Initiative counts) portions of any of the Microsoft operating systems, and I'm assuming a narrow definition for operating system since Apple has at least one very significant non-OS project in WebKit which should put them somewhere above one.
