My friends use FB's chat regularly. The vast majority of my 500+ friends are high school and college students. I personally find it useful to have FB's chat included along with MSN, AIM, Y! and GTalk in my Digsby client.

I guess that i fall into the category of "using all of them." I update them through Pinf.fm (thanks Nick!) and follow the conversation on Friendfeed. Too bad that FF doesn't import from Plurk yet.
