Seriously, this really pisses me off. There's little enough parking in that area as there is.

Yeah, it's fairly unfortunate, but I rarely parked there anyway... It's usually easier to find street parking.

Also, Dave's Record Shop is way better than Reckless (on the same street in Chicago), so meh.

How does Waterloo (Austin, TX) make #2? Sorry, but Waterloo is not that impressive of a record store. Cool, but not amazing.

Dave, I think that will work fine. It is great to see you care so much about making it work perfectly, but given the amount of people at this point you can have it set like that and it will still keep the same vibe.

in United plane crash appears on Twitter first on Dave Delaney : Dave Made That
We are definitely going towards an era of getting our news as a whole as opposed to the New York Times. Newspapers are dying fast, they just aren't adapting well. I would say the only thing to worry about is that getting news via twitter could be, uh, not accurate from time to time. But twitter combined with more authentic news sources should be a great combo.

On Jesus being stolen, I think the more important question is "why don't Christians know that Jesus now comes equipped with a location tracker?" Sloppy sloppy.

You people are all babies. This is barely any snow at all, the only danger is that TN is so terrible at clearing the roads. I watched a guy with an Alabama plate spin his tires 5 times on the same patch of ice. Hint, pedal to the medal isn't smart with snow. Just gradually speed up, gradually slow down, and you will be fine.
p.s. I am from PA. And feel much better now.

Great, but if there is one thing I cannot stand it is flute ensembles. Even with bass flute, waaaay too much upper register.

I haven't, but I can see what you mean about it becoming extremely annoying if 50 posts in a row all have animation next to them. If that happens though, it'll hopefully be a fad that'll take its course and then run out soon.

I was going to include links to the profiles, so you can see what I'm
talking about. I don't want to call anyone out about it though. It's really
up to Twitter not permit animated GIFs, but we'll see what happens.

in You Tell Us: What Are Your Plans For Thanksgiving? on Nashvillest
Since my family is in PA, my plan was to sit at my house, drink beer and eat chinese food. However, some other good friends just called saying they are in town, so it looks like friends together for Thanksgiving. That being said, i'm still pushing for Chinese food.

in How can we get you connected? on Dave Delaney : Dave Made That
Honestly, I think this is something that you would need to push the major cable and internet companies on. The main reason so many people have dial-up or no internet is because it is expensive to reach those laces and/or companies like comcast are content with keeping them at dial-up, not educating them on an upgrade (the latter is more of a guess). But companies like comcast and at&t i would imagine are the only ones with both the resources and know how to reach these places. What's sad is that while it would be an expensive outing (hence why they don't do it), I would bet that the profits would make it worth it.

I wonder if the use of white space on US television networks (and hopefully
Canada) might offer a solution. I'm no expert in it though.

in You Tell Us: What’s Your Favorite Warm, Winter Drink In Town? on Nashvillest
Beer: Blackstone Stout, Yazoo Dos Perros or Guiness (all on tap of course) for year round beers. Spatan Oktoberfest is king, Sam Adam's Octoberfest is great, as is the Blackstone Harvest fest. Avoid the Blue Moon Harvest at all costs, one of the worst seasonal beer's I've ever had.
Hot drink: Coffee in general works right now, but hopefully from any of the good coffee shops in Nashville.
Honorable mention: Water and Orange Juice.
