It was a checkered flannel robe, and he wore the matching PJ-style pajama pants with it.
What kind of shoes? Big puffy white slippers! (obviously)
The mental picture of his face has sort of faded from my memory, but he was a white guy, mid-twenties, with dark hair and acne.

in My first crush on Amit Gupta's Blog
My first crush was Katie Novak from Shelton, CT. I was in 5th grade.
I finally worked up my courage on the last day of school. She was in her classroom and I was on the playground, but her classroom's windows were open. So I walked over and asked her through the window.
Here's how I said it: "Back To The Future Three, Will You Go See It With Me?" I was horrified that it had rhymed...but she said "yes!"
We never went to the movie but I knew, at that moment, that I was a player. :)
Thanks for passing that video along, Amit. Your blog adds value to my life, and coming from an MBA, that's the highest honor you could ask for!

in I realized today that I’m a hot stud on Herbietown
Do you really think that she'll let me loose in that grocery store again? Come on, Eleni, it's dangerous!
And yes, Eleni, I did cook a birthday dinner for Greta. In fact, I made the ranch chicken you suggested.

Do I get to take extra wives? (let's talk offline about that one...people tend to get upset about polygamy, for some reason)
It just occurred to me that you are consciously trying to make the transition from computer programmer nerd to greedy investment banker.
While I continue to embrace my true inner self--an egotistical geek bursting with opinions--you are shaping yourself into a profit machine.

So apparently people aren't getting the attempt, in the first paragraph, to sound like Warren Buffet.
So here I am, forced to educate my stupid readers.
Try to keep up.

in This is negative feedback on Herbietown
Update: the comments are priceless. Someone asked whether Bill Gates and Warren Buffett were going to Hell, and the writer said Yes, and then downplayed their charity with this statement:
"To briefly address your first point. It is interesting that you should note the philanthropy of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. They certainly have given away a great deal of money. In light of God’s great gift to the world through Christ, we are certainly called to give and to give abundantly, remembering that the money is not ours to give in the first place. All of our resources are blessings from God, and as stewards of them, we are called to use them freely for the benefit of others."
And people say Christians aren't dangerous.

in Ultrasound #2…..Grrrrrrrrrr! on Herbietown
I'm not asking that a camera be installed in my office. I'm asking to take a short video clip of my unborn child swimming around inside my wife's womb. Sure, I'm a little crazy, but that's my baby in there!
I fail to see how privacy rights matter here. I'm not taping the nurse, I'm taping my child.
