Regarding this so-called gaffe with Biden and Obama being tested as a new president, isn't it interesting that critics have not critized Biden using words such as being "presumptious" or "acting presidential?" What if Barack himself had used those words to describe a situation even before the election has been held? Wouldn't we hear those words again?

Regardlees of his political beliefs, it is disgraceful that as an African-American, James would actually beg Mccain to take it to Obama through what is clearly Mccain and Palin's race-baiting efforts. As an ex-teacher, I wonder what his former students think about him now! Disgraceful!

Funny how Sara Palin can engage in racist, dirty rhetoric on the campaign trail but does not have the guts to face journalists. What about her own questionable associations and pending corruption charges? What a hypocrite! The nerve of John McCain and his Keeting 5 mess to put her out there.

WTF? Where are all the feminists? Where are all the Hillary Clinton women that felt that Obama acted "sexist" towards Hillary? Isn't McCain's action of sheltering Palin from the media chauvanistic and sexist? Why are the Repugnants so quick to cry "sexism" when they engage in it themselves? why are they playing games with the American people? Where are Obama's female surrogates? Why are they not making a big deal of this considering the fact that McCain's sexist action, and the favouritism being shown to Sara Palin is actually a GIFT to Obama?
Is this what the American people deserve? why is the media still covering the Palin/McCain (oops) campaign?

What I do not understand is why the McCain campaign cannot see their negotiated action re: the VP debates as :sexism." How come they are quick to cry "sexism" everytime Sara Palin is challenged but there has to special arrangements for her with the VP debate? If she is qualified to be "Commander-In-Chief" from day one...being a heart beat away from a 72 year old body with multiple bouts of cancer...why the special treatment? Was Hillary given this? The difference....Hillary is qualified...she is not!

Obama should stop attacking Sara Palin and focus on John McCain. It seems as if he has not learnt his lesson from the primaries with Hillary. Sexism is a major card and strategy that the McCain campaign intend to use to attract female voters.

I read TRW's comment and must say that this is the most sensible and rational comment on this subject. In legal terminology, this is all "hearsay" information and in as much as I detest Sara Palin's lies and distortions, let's not sink to the level that, as TRW so rightfully points out, the issue of Michelle Obama and her so-called, non-factual "Whitey" remark! Excellent analogy TRW! This post is BETTER than that!
I also totally disagree with Miranda when she states that Sara Palin need to prove that she said it. This is a ridiculous comment! Without proven, factual information, the burden of proof does NOT rest on Sara Palin! It rests on US to prove it!
What I found condescending, elitist, and somewhat racist was her comment re: "Barack's community organization work." I suggest that the Obama campaign change adopt a title change with their 50 state campaigning- from "Campaign captains" to "Voter Community Organizers." When Obama wins the election, then thank these "community organizers'" for their excellent work. The best revenge against this type of snear and attack is SUCESS! Everyone agree?

How many African-Americans are currently Governor of a state in the US? Could any African-American with just a journalism degree, end up being a State Governor?
These are legitimate concerns and we need someone to address this to counter the Republican argument!

Regardless of who Sara Palin is and her track record as Governor of Alaska, the fact is that her status as Governor is being used to show that she is more qualified than Barack Obama. Do they really want to go down that road? Barack is making history as the first African-American presidential candidate. How many African-American Governors are there in the United States? Why? Do they really want to go down that road without further stirring up anger in terms of the racial divide in American politics?
How much opportunity has been given to African-Americans to be Governors rather than Mayors? Is this a fair comparison? let's have some discussion on this!

Fact is that Sara Palin is WHITE and Barack Obama is Black. Rather than comparing her to Biden, they are comparing her to Barack. Now, look at the meme-" She has more EXECUTIVE experience. Notice how they have said NOTHING about her FOREIGN POLICY experience? What an insult to the Democratic presidential nominee? Racism is alive and well is this presidential campaign. Notice how she played the "sexism" card immediately to innoculate herself?
This is going to be a helluva 2 months!

Isn't it interesting that after spending the entire campaign so far painting Barack Obama as being inexperienced and "out of touch' with reality, McCain selected a VP with virtually no foreign policy experience....someone who is one beat away from the Presidency given his age and medical history? This is NOTHING new!

I am very happy that it is NOT Hillary Clinton on the ticket. Regardless of what racially insensitive remarks Biden made in the past or the fact that he felt Barack was not experienced enough to be president (based on his pre-Clinton machine destruction knowledge), I strongly feel that he will have Barack's back and at age 65, he will not have his own agenda to be President.
Who best can go up against John McCain than a fellow senator who has been his friend and fellow senate member for 35 years? Who? Who can be a better attack dog for Barack?

It would be nice if that biased Wolf Blitzer could take his sight off "Hillary for VP" meme or his focus on McCain's positives and start focussing on some of McCain gaffes. Blitzer, Lou Dobbs, Campbell Brown, Anderson Cooper, Bill Schneider, Gloria Borger etc. ....These people are despicable. At least, with Faux news, you know where Hannity etc stand. I used to enjoy watching CNN, now I can't stand these "spin masters"...with the exception of Jack Cafferty.

My question is: Why did Rick Warren intentionally lie by saying that McCain was in a "cone of silence" when in fact he was a half hour late for the forum? I have lost a lot of respect for this "purpose-driven pastor!"

Obama needs to stop pandering to the Clintons for three MAJOR reasons:

1) He further run the risk of alienating his base who has been upset by his "shift" to the center and constant flip-flop positions.

2) He provides the Clintons...via their supporters with the opportunity to potentially steal the show and...the nomination from him.

3) It makes him look like a potentially weak President.
