Yes Mark, it is the same pitches ...just a different day. I unsubscribed from many guru pitches in which they all pitch the same product, which is not going to help your pocket, just theirs.

If you are in business your objective should be to make a profit.So pitching for a sale is fine BUT let's have some honesty in what is happening. By the way I'm on the list of a certain "guru" and no matter how hard I try I cannot unsubscribe - the links never work. I'm now so sick of this person I pay no attention to anything she says nor would I use her links under any circumstances. Thanks for your thoughts Teri. Mark

This is so touching an article Mark. We forget sometimes how lucky we are for those that gave their lives for our freedoms today.

Some of us take it all for granted that we live yet another day and our follies are inconsequential to what others have sacrificed.

War is not the answer, it never was and never will be and yet it is declared so freely. Both our countries- Canada in Afghanastan and yours in Iraq fought and are continuing to fight bravely.
But war is not the answer. I once saw my cousin's son wearing a tee-shirt that said " War is the answer". I just looked at him, and said " no its not, and it never will be". He just didn't know because maybe he was too young to realize what war was really like".

Thanks for the reminder for those soldiers that fought bravely. They will always be remembered in our hearts.

We never learn. Sometimes we need to fight for a cause but it is the cavalier attitude to human life by those who are "safe" that is the biggest sin. I used Us & Them by Pink Floyd as a parallel with guru-fodder but in this instance it applies directly to the post:

"Forward he cried from the rear
And the front rank died
General sat, as the lines on the map
Moved from side to side"

And then the politicians don't know what to do because war isn't the answer! The fighting goes on but the outcome becomes less and less clar and lives continue to be lost - for what?

I just checked an email address I do not use very often and there was 18 emails from the same guru, he was spamming me 3 x a day?
They are getting desperate aren't they?

I too am bombarded with Stompernet's new repackaging of an older product.

The JV of these so called top 5 guru's gives you the same product with their own " bonus" added.

Hype is all it is, and they all do it while patting each other on the back. By the time you buy a "new" repackaged old idea, you have to have another product (send more money) join a monthly forum, get in on the telephone calls where you can't ask questions, and like Homer are no further ahead.

Yet still with this economy the guru's bank that there are sufficient vulnerable "suckers" out there that have yet ventured into this money funnel.

PS. I have stomped on all the emails - by unsubscribing from all the lists and concentrate on my own business - not financing theirs.

WARNING: if any of your readers download a
"free" program, from these guru's I will not mention any names - do not do it. They are insidious and you cannot remove portions of the programs which turn out to be useless.

I have unsubscribed from all the Ice Cream Sales guru's out there....life is far more productive.
There is no magic bullet, its just as you say ..a lot of hype.

It is so true that a blogger must have and show their own voice, personality and true self and it comes out in more ways that words.

This is why articles are so personal - they should come from the heart and solve a problem or issue of the reader.

You're right, the so called "customer service" gets worse. I had a problem with my mobile phone - couldn't make or receive calls - was told "we cannot help unless you call us from the phone with the problem"!!! Unbelievable. Mark

They are coming fast and furiously, emails, emails and more emails. You click on them because they sound intriguing but then a massive page that blurs my vision. I skim, I scan my eyes are hurting- the graphics the videos, the page goes on to infinity with BONUSES! Worth thousands of dollars what do I do? How could I be so stupid to pass these up sells -how could I do that?

Your so right Mark, the internet is full of bonuses most of them regurgitated reports from someone else. Once you get onto one guru's list you are sold to another, and another. Pretty soon they are all selling the same product, same bonuses only different added bonuses. My eyesight is getting weary and so is my patience with all the bonus hype. The bonus boogie has danced its last dance for me.

That is it precisely, in this world no one returns anything even with the money back guarantee. Thats what they count on, that you will forget or find it totally useless but are too lazy to return it and get your hard earned money back. These programs are all marketed with a great deal of hype, and hot air usually the product itself is just a guide on information you can get on the net for free. Its a billion dollar industry so there must be enough idiots out there * sorry, that pay cash for it.
I should know I have seen, heard, and tested most of them, and its alot of hot air.

I agree wholeheartedly with your categorizing the gurus today on the internet.
I do not know how in good conciousness they can claim these exhorbited profits in 24 hours!! It can only lead to more regulation of the internet by government at some point, it may weed out the scammers. Good site Mark and great content.

Hi Teri, Good to see you here and thanks for your support. If some of these claims were made in TV, Radio or Magazine ads the businesses would be closed down already! It seems for some reason if it's on the internet anything goes. I agree there probably will be regulation at some point but in the meantime the Guru Fodder is getting burnt! The Anti Hype
