You have such a lovely blog, but all loveliness attracts trolls. Trouble is when trolls stop being entertaining and just start throwing insults randomly. But usually they're not worth responding to - they're not looking for a conversation, or even some clarity, but for aggressiveness. Delete, block IP and drink masala chai. (Or mango lassi for this weather..) :)

in Change colors in the K2 theme on Almost As Good As Chocolate
I picked up a lovely template from here. It wasn't too painful actually - compared to the amount of pain it took to maintain k2 - given that a lot of plugins don't play well with k2. And once I shifted, it's been very low maintenance. Mostly because it's a light weight theme that can be tweaked very easily even by a css-ignorant person like me! :) It didn't break anything major... Maybe you should just take a backup of your existing k2 files, try a new template and play around with it for a few hours, and move back to the backedup k2 files if it all feels like too much! :)

in Change colors in the K2 theme on Almost As Good As Chocolate
After spending more than a year on k2 - I finally moved to find some themes that allowed heavy-duty tweaking, and for some reason got more support from the wordpress community. Trouble is though that shifting themes requires a lot of attention and time.. but if you have the heart to do it - there are far more flexible themes available..

Oh! Definitely the elephant! What better way of declaring love after a year of marriage than relying on tried-and-tested Mallu heritage! On our first anniversary - we just walked into a book store and bought books for each other and ate at an overpriced "Indian" restaurant in London. Apparently the oldest Indian restaurant around here - so bloody old that they forgot how to make Indian food, I guess. And a film - any film!

in London cabs win hands down on Almost As Good As Chocolate
The interesting thing is that most cabbies are open to having a conversation. If one just sets the ball rolling - one can have a conversation about anything - weather, food, Goa, India or the Tories. I remember once - I was so harried about missing a flight but the cabbie was calm - and asked me questions as we were pulling out of the street - "Love, do you have your passport, ticket and money?"
