Yes. You are absolutely justified in buying your Le Plume II markers. I support you 100%. Perhaps I should go buy some too. :)

in One of Those Days on Chicken Teriyaki Bowl #7
My husband was denied entry in the US once and now every time we go through customs or immigration here or abroad I get that kind of anxiety, and of course the people working in customs and immigration are trained to pick up on just that.

Do you think you are picking up on the general anxiety that seems to be floating around everywhere these days? Perhaps once the election is over and the markets respond to it thing will calm down and everyone won't be so on edge. Right now it is hard not to think that danger is right around the corner.

I hope you have a better day today. Oh, and what is your NaNoWriMo name? Mine's Azulita, we should connect there as well.

dianeensey I'm totally boring. My NaNoWriMo name is just dianeensey <grin>. I'll add
you to my buddy list, but the site server is overloaded right now...

Wow, you really have been producing the quantity. I wish I could say the same. I'm hoping this writing thing helps though. I think changing my focus will be good. That's wonderful about your husband being supportive too. Mine doesn't sneer but he certainly doesn't get it.

Oh my. I haven't read the chapter yet. Now I'm scared.
We don't have cable so all I do is read. We are really
going to have to support each other through this one.

dianeensey Well in my morning pages today I brainstormed all the things I could do
instead. Most of them I wouldn't want to do - like weed the garden and
start fall cleaning the house. There are also some things like finishing
the two pairs of socks I have going that I'm excited about. Listening to
music with headphones on would kind of shut out the family, wouldn't it?

I'm also excepting reading Creativityist and comments on my blog from the
reading exclusion. Maybe we need to exchange emails and set up an AA-like
support system. LOL.

I did exercise #8 without reading #9 and #10 first. I got to #9 and then balked. I completely got up from where I was sitting and writing and did lots of other random things to avoid actually committing to doing something on my list.

That's awesome that you wrote poems. Congrats.

Hi. I'm taking part in the collective as well and looking forward to sharing experiences.

My handwriting is never very legible, but yes, it does get worse as I get more excited about what I'm writing. When I can't think of anything to say I slow down and the letters get "artsier."

I love your image of the critic as a time share hawker. That's a perfect analogy.
I'm fearful and intimidated too, but I think it's going to be so worth it.

in Amy Sullivan: The Fallout from Ted Haggard on God's Politics
After reading the news today I visited Haggard's church's website and listend to his sermon from last Sunday. The first prayer of the service was for "lies and deception to be exposed." In it he spoke about how if we "violate the wisdom and responsibility of our roles God will reject us, not pesonally, but in that role." He then added that, "he may reject us personally, depending on what we've done." (These are paraphrases, not exact quotes) I wonder if he thinks God is rejecting him personally because of this. No matter whether he's gay or not, a drug user or not, an adulterer or not God loves him and made him as he is. We are all sinners and we are all forgiven. I hope Christians on both the right and the left will recognize this and support him as a brother in Christ.>
