Well, to speak here or not on the particular topic is a freedom that I am allowed as a member

To express an opinion that may differ or contradict or even portray a different perspective is definitely a freedom

to interrupt with a different topic

or a profanity or some other innaporopriate distraction from a discussion
those would be rude

and to argue or fight with a person either as the originator of a topic blasting a person with a differing viewpoint or as a commentor blasting the originator of a topic - well - that wouldn't do under any circumstance

however there is a fine point of distinction that gets untroduced online which is not the same as it might be off line or in the non virtual world - and that lies in the interpretation of a person's intent when actually hearing their voice -

I believe that often some of the issues or conflicts that people may be having with others stems from an innability to hear the other person's tone of voice and instead what might be happening - well they just might be injecting the tone of their thoughts or their fears or for whatever reason misinterpreting what it is that another might be attempting to convey -

It is a fact - that relatively speaking - writing and expressing thoughts in the manner in which it is done on the Internet whether on a web site -a blog or in a forum is a relatively new phenomenon in the long history of human communication (including the art of writing letters and business communications and public realtions) and the extent to which this art is mastered by each individual that is attempting to utilize this medium to convey or get across their ideas to others varies greatly with the extent to which they have mastered the new skill.

Were there classes or courses to teach people various skills in this art - then perhaps there might be better communications in the various arenas where this skill must be utilized -

Otherwise the learning is to be left up to those doing the doing -

thank you! you have been able to put into understandable words what I have thought of for quite some time now since I began my business back in 1976 and have know even previously to that point in time - that we are each and everyone of us unique individuals and when we begin to learn to use and master any of the tools available to us whether it is a paint brush - a camera - a computer or any of the new tools that can be found on the Internet - in our own unique way of handling them with our own unique style and imagination - then and only then will we be creating anything of value whether an experience or a product - for the people who we wish to provide these for -

You are absolutely right about serving others - although sometimes it seems as if there are no others around who are interested in what I have to offer - The biggest challenge is not that I don't have so many things and ways to help others - but just how it is that I might let them become aware of that which I have to offer? - If what we do echos through eternity - I am sure that there is also the part of the equation that at least someone has to be able to know about what it is that we (no matter who it is) have to offer (someone has to be able to hear that echo)! Even you, Mike, can touch so many more people's lives, if only they will be able to become aware of you and your programs and your teachings, and I believe that is why you have begun writing this blog and you have your web site. I remember purchasing your book in Barnes and Noble long before I had ever heard of you on the Internet and you have been able to reach so many more individuals now, but the journey has just begun!

Part of the answer to your question above as to why so many people are bored - depressed and lonely - is because they are surrounded by that in their environment - their friends and their studies - yes their studies - imagine studying psychology and the abnormal behavior of so many people today - this type of focus only perpetuates and magnifies in our society what it is that is becoming more and more prevalent and is really unwanted - if people focus on what they want and that there is no way that they cannot achieve that what they want they will achieve that - when they focus on the failures - theirs and others - that is what they will get - thought creates beliefs and beliefs create reality - plain and shimple - change the focus - change the focus - change the focus - we were all made to succeed - not at what other heroes or successful people have succeeded at - but in our own specialties and skills and strengths and that is what must happen - we must each discover for ourselves what it is inside of us that we are meant to do and excel at that which is inside of us and then we will be great! -

Very often that enemy that you refer to above is even closer than the family, friends, or others in places of authority surrounding the person -- it is within - the person in the disguise as constant companion referred to as the mind - this is where the "don't listening rules" must begin to be adhered to!

In some cases - with some people - perhaps it might be best if they had less instead of attempting to obtain more - this would allow them in many cases to have the order and organization that you are referring to - we often see this in very large corporations that grew at a certain period of increasing stock prices which allowed them to purchase other companies at bargain prices relative to their own stock values but in some of these cases they have discovered that the efficiencies and benefits that they thought they would accomplish by purchasing these other companies are not really there or as efficient as they had first imagined so they spin off some of these divisions or spit the companies up - and from a certain perspective what they did when they bought and what they are doing now when they split are all correct based on the economic environment during the different climates of the periods that we are looking at - I suppose the disorder or putting everything in a certain clumped up manner may have made sense at one point in time either to save space or time or for any number of reasons and------ if it suites the time and you have the time and it makes efficient sense to divvy things up or split or reorganize things in a different manner now that we are in a different time period and viewing things differently - well then that is what is necessary to do at this point in time - but if you do not see that as a hinderance yet or you are not able to spend the time (ie. that is not your priority) well then that may be OK at this moment as well - you may just as well read this article now and use the information later on when you are ready -

I was born to live - yes - and in my life things are unique to me as to how and why and where and in what manner I want to do this living!

I, more than anything, enjoy the fact that for every moment in life that I consciously look at, there are an infinite number of perspectives to see what is in front of me and that once I see these perspectives, I can choose the one that best fits what I want to for my own life!

I have been thinking about what business is really - from a perspective way way way far away from the everyday operations and stock gyrations and everything that people seem to think makes up business - the one common denominator that business breaks down into in all cases is one person - group or organization serving another person - group or organization or the population in general with either a products or a service or ideas -

If you or your company stops providing a service to anyone then you are no longer in business or you must shift your focus of what you do in some way so that you are in the serving mode once again - so from far away what we are here on planet earth are individual people or groups of people serving other people or groups of people -

There can be no other way of looking at all of this activity and if what is being done in any area of activity is not serving someone in some way that activity will sooner or later cease to take place!
