Joet - come on up to our ministry in Scotland and work with us for a while. Help us launch our Cooperative and social enterprise next month. And then judge if we are not doing anything local. Just because i dont blog it, doesnt mean its not happening.

I think if you knew how many speaking engagements i turn down so that i can stay plugged into the local scene then you might give me some more cred. you might also be softer if you understood the nature of our overseas ministry.

joet Andrew, I'm sorry, I was being harsh to make a point. I am not suggesting that your work in Scotland is unimportant (and in fact I'm really encouraged that you're working co-operative models into what you are doing), just that 'we' in the Emerging Church are ripe subjects for satire. Fair enough, it isn't really any of my business to criticise your work, forgive me.

And if I can usefully help you in launching your co-op, I of course would be very pleased to.
