I bet what's going on with the vix is due to GS's control of 30-40% of the volume (read ZeroHedges blog for info). The volatility swings of last year are gone because the market is being DOMINATED by one major player driving the tape. That's my theory. Now that GS got their $123 a share dilution and once OPEX ends, I'm willing to bet we go back to the wild wild west like last year, but with less volume. Lots of people simply bailed on this stock market.

Rosa Parks refused to give up her chair in the bus which sparked the equality rights movements for blacks in America. Her action needs no words and yet it is a powerful demonstration of courage and truth which changed history.

hi pinky, I have been reading your blog recently, and your world inspires me even though I am not part of it. I envy you. Today, it just opened a window on how I may live my life to the fullest.. to taste, see, feel and share life. I think in some ways you are a role model to your friends who log in, to read your latest posting so they may be in your shoes for awhile, savouring life at its best. And the satisfying things are not thing, but emotions, love, happiness, joy which you share freely and openly. who is this retard going on about how poor microsoft is at making software for pc's and consoles? they are a software company and thats what they are best at - why the eff do you think Windows is on almost every computer instead of linux or OS X? Maybe because its well designed? The 360's interface has had lots of praise and is well made and is focussed around the user - a long line of options on a plain black background is well made and quickly accessable for a psp, but for a home games console is just plain lazy and sh!t. getit together mate.

The problem I had with the "old way" was I would put the letter to be read two days later and forget about it for six months.
