Let's not miss the important point here. Not only is the guy a Barry Bonds fan, he's also a Tom Hanks and competitive poker fan! The legendary trifecta of loserdom.

For Homeland Security? She can't even secure her state from Mexicans coming over her border. Poor choice!

in Sincerely reading the Bible broke my faith - Testimonies of Ex-Christians on ExChristian.Net -- encouraging ex-Christians
Jessica - If they freak out when the subject comes up and they eventually find out, you can tell them that it must be part of God's plan for you to leave the church, since everything that happens is God's will. :)

On a more serious note, congratulations on taking a critical look at what you believe and why. You are a lot more equipped to deal with the world than most people your age or older. Also, there are a lot of people who are in similar questioning situations, so know that your are not alone by any stretch of the imagination.

in Hillary Clinton Considered for Secretary of State Position on Menstrual Poetry
The office of Secretary of State is a job for a professional diplomat, not a consolation prize to be tossed at a woman who ran a vicious, divisive, and dirty campaign, just to shut up the people who were deluded enough to support her.

Hillary Clinton isn't fit to hold any office in the United States government, and truth to tell, she never was. She only got her senate seat because the DNC party bosses didn't respect the voters enough to let a qualified candidate get the democratic nomination to replace Moynihan.

Reith günstige Ferienwohnungen I agree with you, but what can we do, we don't have the power to talk with those HIGH personalities.

in Rumors: Congress To Investigate Bush In Obama Era? on The Washington Independent
Declassify as much as possible and let the private sector IE those with a grievance take Bushco to court. But keep Congress focused on the future

in CNN’s Wolf talks to holographic reporter [pic] on The Inquisitr
The "hologram" was superimposed onto the broadcast, like those superimposed yellow down marker lines at football games. The people in the studio couldn't actually see the "hologram" unless they were watching a video monitor.

in Marijuana decriminalization passes by wide margin on Daily News of Newburyport
When exactly is "four weeks after the election is certified by the secretary of state"? You don't want to be the last one effected by the old law.

I love this advert. Man is at a party, chatting to at least one hot chick, and he walks off to draw smiley faces in the condensation in the window. What a geek. Must be a MIR reader ;)

As a member of the Bamboo Party, and advocate of Peace in the name of the Galactic Light Conciousness, I declare this post to be an outrage and will be alerting the High Commander Vonwick dof Luroskiberg to purge it from the memories of those who view it!

in The Techmeme Myth on The Inquisitr
I've seen the stats in terms of traffic sent via Techmeme on all kinds of sites/blogs that have at one point or another been featured. It's pathetic. A link on Lifehacker drives more traffic (not a 'via" though). A semi-decent StumbleUpon sends way more traffic (a great SU sends 50k+ pageviews over a week). Digg and reddit speak for themselves. A link on techmeme is nothing more than an ego boost to those who care, and that audience is small.

in World Without End, by Ken Follet on John's Blog
This is a very poor review of a novel that deserves much better. You have devoted less than two lines on the content of this book, making me wonder why you bothered in the first place.

in Why Should Kids Pay For McCain's Tax Cuts For The Rich? on The Jed Report
What a bloody stupid question. Nobody pays for tax cuts, we pay for government SPENDING. We pay for it either by direct taxation, or by inflation when the fed buys government bonds. The spending is the problem, the means of collecting the money spent is completely beside the point.

in Nokia Maps SMS billing issue with Nokia Care[less] on Mobile Industry Review
I'd suggest he phones his operator up, and give them the apporx time that the message hit his phone(billl), and ask them to tell him who the aggregator is that sent them. I recall its Mobile 365. Then start harassing them to get the service fixed.

in EXCLUSIVE: Apple to launch $800 laptop on The Inquisitr
Even retail Apple stores don't find out they need to and how to reorganize the store for new products that just arrived or will arrive the next day - all within a day or two. Ten days is ludicrous - UNLESS this guy with the pricelist is corporate (internal). But he definitely isn't working retail, not even at an Apple store.

in Facebook co-founder Moskovitz leaves to start group collaboration company on VentureBeat
How would some kid who stumbled on a chunk of good luck, who has barely ever (probably never) had a real job know anything at all about how to compare the quality of one company to the next?
If your audience is a meeting room full of other lucky, spolied kids, inebriated on self-importance, then I bet it sounds hella tight.
I've been in this industry long enough to have a thick layer of cynicism to temper any hyper-active fantasies.
It's just annoying to listen to people talk like they know something.
Bunch of B.S. Amuzing though.
