So i'm keeping an eye on you from out here in Cali :)

Re: Applied Theology Smackdown: Lesbian vs. Liberal

Hmm. I'm gonna have to disagree with the spirit with which TB wrote this article. It seems from the tone that shes sounding like a liberal herself. "Jesus isn't mad at us, He loves us. We can do whatever we want!" And then to pull a lame-o comment like "ho actually would vote for a guy to be president who has such a low opinion of the country he is campaigning to lead"

I mean really... sounds like she would rather have someone lie to us then tell us the truth. This country IS jacked up. And as "religious" as it may or may not be, I think Jesus is disapointed in this country on so many levels. We are a bunch of greedy, selfish, arrogant people! (myself included!) Atleast this country as a whole is.

I didnt catch Edwards speech. I try to avoid all things democrat because I usually just end up sick. So I cant comment on what he said. And I dont know TB. But this article seriously seems like liberal logic (which is an oxymoron)!

Re: Applied Theology Smackdown: Lesbian vs. Liberal

Hi Randy! Do they really think that Chrsitians would do such a thing? Or do they think its acceptable to portray a group such a way? Its not like this is characteristic of Christians in general. But do they think that it is? They know they couldn't get away with it if they were muslims terrorists. Why did it even have to be a scenario? Why couldn't it just be an angry person who wanted to kill others? I dont know about suing them. But i'm all about the school board members losing their jobs for making such a stupid decision.
Now if "Christians" ever did such a thing (God forbid) then it should be universally condemned by Christians everywhere.

Re: A Different Kind of Hijacking

I really wonder what goes through peoples minds when they think up these things? "If you are insecure and feel that you might not win a debate with compelling points and a good presentation … one way to go is the circus route"

It disapoints me when both sides can't just trust that their arguments are strong enough without having to resort to lies or deception. And I expect a higher standard from people who claim to represent Christ but thats not happening here in CA. Christians/Mormons are reciting the same talking points the campaign is handing down and they're all false.

Its no different with our presidential candidates either. During the debates they don't answer a question, they attack each other. So neither of them has my vote

Re: Florida International University Replaces Proper Debate with Hateful Infotainment

Yes, having WBC makes this debate useless in terms of anything useful coming from it.

However, I would say that same is true over here in CA with the anti-gay marriage side using half-truths and scare tactics in their adds.
