in iCal: where's the maps? on Surrounded by idiots
Agreed!
It could also look at the attendees field and allow quick access to their work or home maps. I don't want to have to enter an address I've already got in a linked app.
Apparently the Palm Pre will look up maps for your appointments and find the Wikipedia article on the client you're visiting.

Hi Mark,
Well now I'm famous!
With only a couple of days until summer starts here in Australia we are hoping for more sunny days like this one :-)
Lot's of mobile usability and UX design at the moment and the Australian version of CHI, OZCHI (www.ozchi.org) begins in 2 weeks in Cairns. Should be fun.
P.S. It's Bondi Beach mate :-)

in HTC’s Android handset is a sucker waiting for the punch on Doing Words
Nice overview Alan!
I agree that Android will be for the more geeky because of the added complexity around flexibility. And Apple's marketing/cachet is hard to compete with.
I think one of the most interesting bits of feedback from some reviewers is how unnatural it feels to go from using the device in portrait using your finger, to having to switch to landscape with the keyboard every time you want to fill in a field or type, because there is no onscreen keyboard.
