I am a Canadian living in the London (the one in the UK) and still read the Globe online. Anyway, I blogged about Vonage this morning in response to the float. In my post I compare visits to Vonage's website to that of Skype (in the UK of course). Skype receives 8.5 times more visits than Vonage and Vongage has not really seen a whole lot of growth in the past few months, while Skype continues to climb. The new partnership between Skype and Bebo seems to have really paid off.

Re: Perez Hilton Hits 14,000,000 Pageviews Yesterday. I charted searches on Hitwise and "perez hilton" gets 300x the volume of searches compared with "paris hilton".

Re: 2006/08/08/bebo-overtakes-myspace-in-the-uk/

Jamie, if you are out of school, which you likely are, you don't fit the profile for Bebo. The site is really geared toward students to connect with mates from school. I have a Bebo profile - but alas, no friends, as I don't have a school to register under. The site is expanding its scope, but demographics may explain the lack of awareness for the site in your circle.

Re: 2007/03/08/myspace-news/

Pete, My hunch is that MySpace will not be the Digg.com killer because the interests of the users vary so much. Digg.com is strong on technology. MySpace is strong on celebrities, music, dating.

Looking at Hitwise clickstream data, last week 14% of downstream UK traffic from MySpace went to websites in our Entertainment category (video sharing and games), 8% to Lifestyle (dating mostly), 5% to Music, 4% to Retail, 2% to Business & Finance and 1% to News and Media.

In the end, MySpace News might pose a real threat for the attention of gamers and video sharing interests of many Digg members.

It's not really about news tho!

Re: Peter Crouch Robot Dance Wasn’t A Spur Of The Moment Thing

Peter Crouch has turned into a real online phenomenon. Looks like searches for "peter crouch" might even overtake searches for "ronaldinho" who is currently the most searched for player online! I just blogged about this - and David Beckham's hair. :)
