in The Reader Movie Trailer on /Film
Winslett was fantastic and she deserves all the accolacades. This was one of the best pictures that I've seen in quite some time.
I don't understand how they got away with casting a 17 year old (at the time of filming) to play such intimate scenes with Winslett. Isn't there something illegal/immoral about that even though it was a tastefully done movie? I know it was filmed in Germany but still, there just seems to be something wrong with that.

in So, how was your day? on blindsquirrel.org
I am so very proud of you for taking the high road with your new friend. Any knuckle head can stoop to the gutter to join people like myself and drop F bombs, but the truly worthy are much better than that. Her reward will come in time.
A very politically incorrect comment and a suggested 4th lesson for you. When teaching each of my children the joy and skills of driving, I distinctively recall saying to each and yes to the young lady "...be very careful while driving in shopping centers because they are filled with women drivers...". Women have their own set of rules only known to them.
I am also very surprised and proud to see you roll u your sleeves to diagnose your VW. I know how much pride you take in the little guy.
Lastly, were you able to squeeze some work into this hectic day of yours? with all the back and forth driving, multiple wardrobe changes, the love-fest with your new best friend and shopping at Best Buy, just wondering how much quality time was spent "strategizing". LOL. You do work for the government don't you???

in Bailout no longer necessary on blindsquirrel.org
The "Squirrel" buying habits never cease to amaze me since they span the gambit.
Shop for a "live" toy like little Sammy and the process is a grueling 5 month R&D, try-buy, you-name-it kind of process albeit with very successful results. On the other hand, put you and the little Mrs in a toy store and look out, the impulses take over and you're fighting some little old lady for the last Barbie on the shelf. Please tell me you won't be in Best Buy on Black Friday at oh-dark-30 for some electronic/techno wizard gadget.
On the other hand, the way you raved about the ease of doing business with Red Box from an earlier posting, I would have guessed you for a 100% online shopper with the UPS truck pulling up in front of the house daily.
Very complex, very complex you are.
Now, if the "squirrel" truly wants to stave off the government bailouts, buy your kid a Chevy......no lines at the Cochran dealership.
