Forget the above comment... just read your current opinion on Firefox and I'll agree. Uninstalling it is a better option.

So, without being a pest (I actually do tech support for a living), how in God's name did you solve the looping behavior. I've done all the standard "fixes," https, clear cache etc. and have uninstalled both Firefox and Greasemonkey etc. and cleared the registry of all keys. Same behavior. I'd be upset but I don't really need Firefox although I would like to fix this. Thanks for any response, to my eamil if you have time. Take care.
