How's the auto focus system compared to the previous generation? Did you notice anything different? I know you've been using the 1st gen. for a long time.

my favorite is leaflets; http://app.getleaflets.com/ It has more than just app launchers, like the integration of feed readers, upcoming, search engine, flickr, del.icio.us and more in an iphone-friendly interface. Leaflets has become my homepage upon launching safari on the iphone.

@Kevin, What can i say, I am truly impressed by your mobility gadgets as each day passes. Despite it was Justine who pioneered the concept of mobile-casting, you definitely take this concept off the chart. 2 thumbs up!
I am going to try to find the Qstarz unit here on the states to see how and if i can integrate it to my daily life.

in Blog designs that catch my eye on Scobleizer
Hi Robert, I favor content than theme any day of the week, which you deliver on the former. Will a new design attract more subscribers? Folks come to your site to read what you wrote not how it looks. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you are persistent though, check out Derek Powazek's Depo clean theme: http://powazek.com/posts/516/ whichever theme you choose, go w/ something that's similar to what you're currently using so that we don't have to "recalibrate" our eyes.

in A real-world troll story on Scobleizer
Robert, On thursday night, David Randolph of Revision3 had an ingenious idea of putting the cell number of one of these two kids on digg and encourage diggers to send voice mail and sms. One of the guys on our side was fishing for the number and he took the bait. We imagined the fury his father would have when the phone bill comes in at the end of the month. I didnt know how the story ends, however.

in Firefox on Macs giving people fits on Scobleizer
Robert, I have yet encounter some of the problems you and many others have despite my habit of having at least 15 tabs at any given time. I am currently using v2.0.0.3.
When the problems start cropping up? did you install any plugins/extensions prior to the problems? in any case, try deleting the plist file located in ~/Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox.plist and see if the issues go away.

@Kevin, your dad is videogenic, feel easy and very open in front of the camera. I wish my dad were like that. :) Anyway, very innovative drink concept indeed. I hope they make it to the states soon.

in Uh-Oh! The cat pee-ed on my Mac… on theory.isthereason
it will be a disaster if your cat peed on your macbook pro. lesson learned today: dont let your cat in when you are out. I always close my room when I am out. I dont want my cats to chew on my cables, scratch my apple router, or even steal my ipod nano.

in WWDC Predictions on I Bought a Mac
i am superduper hoping for #5 to materialize. My dad, who is a everything-has-to-be-light junkie, will be stocked if ultra-portable Mac comes true and I suspect so will many folks.

in New MacBook Pro’s released today on I Bought a Mac
The new display is LED-backlit. TFT LCD has been phased out on the 15" MBP. Dell just made LED-backlit display available for its new 13" lappie, so the macbook version is just around the corner so will the 17" MBP. Brent, I wouldnt worry about this new announcement. I have 17" CD MBP, i am not taking my wallet out yet despite the max 4GB ram upgrade. What i am waiting for is the new design. The MBP has seen no major design revision since '03. So I am all good 'till then.

in Low Light and Existing Light Photography: Lenses, ISO, Aperture, and SLRs on Javajive Photography
Brandon, very insightful tutorial! (i read it twice to make sure it gets to my head) It's true that for a newbie photographer with DSLR, the amount of settings (ISO, WB, Exp. compensation, etc) will be overwhelming. In my case, I need to ensure all settings are correct prior to snapping a photo, especially when the light condition changes. Sometimes to the point I missed the "moment" It just is so much work. Of course, as one keeps taking photos, and gets acquainted with the equipment, some of these checking steps will be 2nd nature.
Are you going to write a tutorial on metering anytime soon? :). This is the one of the aspects I am struggling most with especially on a frame where one part (neon light for example) is bright and the rest is dark (wall for example). Let's say i use spot metering and focus on the bright part, the rest of the photo will be very dark and vice versa. Achieving the balance in this particular situation is challenging at best. Like your photo titled "sacred" (http://urltea.com/kgq), what metering mode did you use? and did you need to lock your exposure somewhere prior?
Thanks for any suggestions/tips.
