in Paid Content – A Dying Business Model? on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
The niche will stick around as long as there is buyers and sellers on both sides. Look at big oil companies, there are BETTER options out there, but the the money will flow till the well is dry, and paid content isn't dry yet - maybe starting, but far from dead...

in Summer Savings Series #1: Food is a big expense. How can you save? on Bible Money Matters
I do #16 far too often. I think that's the time when I feel like I NEED to shop. I need to cut back on that one for sure! My wife always falls for #19 also, it's a crafty tactic that clearly works!

Money Matters After I wrote this article, I proceeded to the grocery store last night and fell for number 19. Duh.

in Reaching the tipping point on Bible Money Matters
It's funny how many of us PF bloggers came from frugal beginnings... The microwave story is a classic. I have got to admit, you got me on that one. :) We had one, but come to think of it, we got it in about 1980 and my mother STILL HAS THE SAME ONE! ;)

in Why is it important to have health coverage, even if you're healthy? on Bible Money Matters
It really is nuts what you find you may have to go through in situations like that. We just had our yearly "benefits fair" where my wife and I reallly sat down and discussed what we needed and for what amount. We're sticking to the basic plan because it's that or a one that covers more "out of network" places. I think we're alright in current one. Are you just on your standard plan at work?

Money Matters I'm on a standard plan at work, yes. I am thinking about looking around to see what other coverage is available, just because I've never really looked into it. I'm happy with the coverage (so far) that we had this time around, but still - bringing our costs down might not hurt. I'm pretty confident that we won't be able to though.

in Another non-frugal expense: Landscaping today on Bible Money Matters
I'm actually looking to do some landscaping myself this summer. My front yard looks horrendous and I need to either get my landscaping shoes on, or find someone ELSE to put them on! :)

in How much gas are you wasting? on Bible Money Matters
Have you ever heard of people stopping their engines while driving at red lights to save gas? How about turning off the engine to drive down mountain passes? Yea, I've heard them both and I don't think either do any good! :0

in Non-frugal spending: I bought a GPS on Bible Money Matters
I've actually considered this a couple times myself, but found that I didn't travel enough to justify it. I get around my city pretty well and know the ins and outs nicely. I think it'd be a huge benefit to those that travel a lot or drive for their business, but I still get the itch to get one about once or twice a year....

Money Matters Yeah, if i hadn't gotten the birthday money, I wouldn't have gotten it.
Like I said, I don't NEED it. But, since people gave me money so I could
get my own gift, I thought I might as well do just that.

in Economic Stimulus Rebate Update: I got my money! on Bible Money Matters
Kudos on the cash! Mine came in earlier than expected, my SS# ends in 26 so we weren't supposed to get it till the 9th, but it came in on the 5th!

Thank goodness you caught the leg clot too. I have a friend at work that his wife went through the exact same thing. You don't hear about them often, but they can be sticklers!

Money Matters Yeah, we were very blessed to catch the blood clot. Apparently one of the
biggest killers in our country can be a blood clot that has moved to the lung. The problem is people often don't know they've got one until it's too late. We're very blessed that my wife had leg pain and went in. Not everyone does.

in Free Stuff: Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning Course on Bible Money Matters
Yea, it is strange that there aren't MORE classes out there like this one. I wrote a post about how I think we need a mandatory financial education course across the nation. How ideal would that be? It'd help our young kids know the value of money and how to spend it properly, which would in turn help the economy out long term as money would be properly spent and saved the likes of which we clearly don't see now...

Money Matters i completely agree. They really should have something like this in public high schools even - life skills that you can actually use!

in net worth or net worthless? on brip blap
I like it - and agree to a point; but at the same time it has made me very aware of what and where my money is going. I think it can take a huge tangent when you start to say WHAT is defined in it. If you keep it simple, I think Flexo might have mentioned it months ago in a post I read, net worth is what you're worth if you had to sell everything you own right this minute. If you did, how much money would you have?

For me it is more of a bookmark on my financial "novel"...

in making overseas experience count on brip blap
Yea, depending on what you do for a living, bilingual pieces can really help out on SO many levels and can be applied to 1000s of different careers. Pointing it out on a resume is always beneficial and I'd argue should be near the top of the resume depending on your career choice... good post.

in rich mom, poor mom on brip blap
First time reader - I agree with R.K's book on the asset/liability piece, but a lot of it is just fluff and encouragement; albeit a lot of people like it, it doesn't always help put $ in the bank. :)

Good article - interested to read more -
