in How to Buy Domain Names Like a Pro: 10 Tips from the Founder of PhoneTag.com on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
f. If the domain has a “my”, “the” or other like word in front of it then it is going to be worth a lot less.

It is a waste of time...it's so hard to get out of the habit of the worthless networking, even though I've been trying!

That's awesome. I've been bookmarking Twitter apps for the past week or so, and they're starting to become unmanageable. I really needed a resource like this, but the amount of apps there are is staggering - I'm sure it will wear off soon, but thanks for giving me someone to remain occupied wuith for a while! :)

in 2009/01/01/is-it-stupid-to-trust-twitter-apps-with-your-password/ on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
It looks like Stuart Dallas has already supplied us with a solution to the Twply problem. Doesn't solve the problem with other third party apps requiring a login, but it's really not as if people are uninformed when it comes to giving that sort of information away. Caveat emptor.

in Does WordPress meet your needs yet? on Fun with WordPress
I do think that it is fast approaching the point of becoming bloatware. If there are no security risks in a version, I prefer sticking to that until it becomes really necessary to upgrade. The architecture and the function of a Wordpress blog remains pretty much the same...why bother with the continuous roll-outs when an ultra stable and thoroughly tested version would suffice?

Just wanted to point bex in the right direction: “He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly (early).” (Proverbs 13:24)
An inhuman doctrine, but one that exists in the Bible nonetheless.
To Torah, my well wishes.

in Declaring Akismet Bankruptcy on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I'm only a tiny blogger, but I've had only one false positive, and no false negatives have ever made it through to my blog, in 575 comments.
I don't see why spammers would waste their time targeting blogs that they know to be armed with Akismet. I mean, from a spammers point of view, what would be the benefit? Akismet is close to batting 100 for me, so I think I'll stick with it until it bats a little more ordinarily.

The real work comes in focusing on value first, always value first :-)
