There is nothing finer than seeing the Marlins end the Mets season again! Punks!!

Even though most franchises would view missing the playoffs as a failure...as a long time Marlins fan, I'm glad to see my team finish competitive and above .500, you always need a building block for the next season

There are really some tough decisions to be made this offseason...Of all the players that could leave the team, Olsen is perhaps the best candidate...He's been good to us but can be horribly inconsistent

Of course we're not out of it yet...the Fish just have a flare for the dramatic, wanted to leave it till the end to make a rush at the playoffs!

I hope you're ready Philly and New York, the Marlins are coming to crash the party!

The Marlins truly have a talented corps of infielders...Lets hope the team does all they can to keep these guys together for the future

Minnesota, Pittsburgh, and Washington all have stadiums (in Minnesota's case not finished) paid for by taxpayer dollars. I'm sure they were all controversial too. At least the Marlins stadium is part of a broad package to try and revitalize an area.

It shouldn't matter whether or not the area is actually revitalized...Cities spend countless millions attempting this all over the country, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't....If the Marlins can profit in the process, why not?! We want to keep them and this allows for it!

It is inconceivable that only 600 people show up...I agree, how could these people prefer to be at work instead of taking advantage of the wonderful weather we're blessed with in South Florida and going to the ball park.

Besides, these Fish are good and not done yet!

Pelfrey is a punk...he tries to talk smack so people will ignore the fact he is incompetent, especially agains the Fish

The Fish have long struggled to get themselves a decent closer...I think now that the rest of the team is good and the closer is costing us so many games, we need a new closer FIRST PRIORITY in the offseason!

Clearly these players just don't understand fully what it takes to be a true baseball professional and put in the effort when its needed, nay, required!

We all know the team won't do whats necessary unfortunately...They'll spend some money to keep 2 of 3 mentioned above, likely Uggla and Cantu. A closer is just as important, but we'll end up picking up an unknown discarded from somewhere else...

It will be interesting to see how many members of this pitching staff can return next season...Josh Johnson and Ricky Nolasco would make a hell of a 1-2 punch!

I don't think enough people show faith in the Marlins...there are plenty of games left against the teams they are chasing to fix their situation. The Mets bullpen sucks and the Phillies bats have a tendency to be hot one night and freezing cold the next..

That bullpen is completely useless when it really matters...completely useless

It is nice to see that someone still has belief in this team! There is indeed lots of time left in their season and they have plenty of opportunities to make up those 6 games!!

Lets not forget the contributions Scott Olsen made early in the season as well...He had a much better start than Nolasco, and though he has struggled since then...a lot more of Olsen's losses were due to his team not picking him up. Nolasco has had some very shaky outings

Management and ownership have been letting down Marlins fans and players for years now...Whether its Loria or Huezenga. It hurts more this season though because the team is in contention for a playoff spot, usually they don't let us down until after a successful season!

With the number of games they have remaining against the two teams ahead of them...I'm not counting them out yet. The Fish are headed for the playoffs, he's right...they control their destiny and I think they'll make the most of it!

Its very unfortunate, I think the front office hung the players out to dry again...Bats can't be great every night, you can't master every pitcher every night...I think the bullpen, even with Rhodes, is still our greatest weakness...Kevin Gregg proved it Friday night against the Cubs.

Chris Volstad could be the next big thing! In all reality, he's a solid youngster...He should be interesting to follow, he's got good stuff

I don't know that I'd call the Phillies schedule easy, but the Marlins clearly have the most difficult schedule...this will be a tense week and half!

Lo Duce doesn't have anything left in the tank...I agree, he'll only be valuable as a day to day relief for Matt Treanor who himself is going to limp to the offseason.

Thank goodness for Josh Johnson...He is emerging as the ace of this staff, he has a commanding presence on the mound. I'm not worried about the Mets, they'll fall apart again this year!

Thats just what we need...if the Fish can keep taking 2 of 3, 3 of 4 from the Phillies and Mets the rest of the way we're in!
