here is an alternative. Give the Salvation Army Santa 2 bucks and ask if your kid can take a picture with the Salvation Army Santa. You do two things - you are giving to a good charity and you are cutting your cost.

I completely agree with your alternative idea. The costs set for the photos from this private company for a couple of photos are absurd. I realize that the company is here to make money, but in order to so and actually attract customers, it needs to be made affordable, especially in the state of today's economy. I personally would be more than happy to see the money go to an organization such as the Salvation Army and at the same time give my child the ability to have her picture taken with Santa.

Illegal immigration is a critical issue. I think too many folks who are opposed to illegal immigration are afraid of being called racist. This only distract from the real issues.
Tak a look at your local rep voting record. I am sure the two women who were raped would like NH to protect them.

are you under the impression that there are some Americans who are actually in favor of illegal immigration? I don't think there are any Americans in favor of foreigners sneaking into our country illeglly.
I believe that the difference in opinion is in regards as to how to deal with the problem.

I will be voting for experienced and only getting better, Paul Hodes. Horn rode the now nfamous Sarah Palin's coat tails in the primary beating her opponent Bob Clegg... Let's get real... I need a little more than "mother of five, war monger, husband is a Wall St guy"... There's alot about Jennifer Horn voters don't know about her... How bout that house of yours built on the Pennichuck watershed, how bout those five kids attending private school, how 'bout driving her gigantic suv's round town with gas at $4 bucks a gallon -- how 'bout masquerading as "my neighbor"... She's not someone most people want to see in Washington...

It is too bad that we live in a society that chooses fetal dismemberment and death rather than life. Abortions have become an acceptable and convenient method for individual’s lack of control of their libido.
Sarah Palin has shown women that we can choose life. I much rather have someone in office who sides with life rather than fetal dismemberment and death.

It is not 'society' that makes any choice. The choice to terminate a pregnancy is rarely cavalier. And it is made, and should be made, by the woman, in consultation with her morality, her doctor, and her family, if she chooses.
And, as the argument goes, it sure would be nice if all those pro-life folks would spend some more energy caring for the child AFTER it leaves the womb.

It will never happen(though it should). The Demacrats will hold the Presidency and the Congress. Then they will pass a amnisty program so they can keep their majority. That is how these peoplle work. They do not care about us. They only care about their hold on power.

Wake up people!
Actually, since he was voted in fair and square by the PEOPLE and he is the only Dem left standing...he IS the best we have to offer in this election.
It still stuns me that people can be such "nit-wits" to believe that one party or the other is to blame for everything going on in our country. Leadership as a whole has failed us. Perhaps when we mature enough to stop the name calling and pointing the fingers of blame (much like school children do) we can really see where we need to go as a nation.
While I am a registered Democrat I am also intelligent and mature enough to see the whole picture and realize that change does need to happen regardless of who the political party might be. The fact of the matter is that each time (at least in my lifetime) our country has been led by the Republican party we have seen an economic crisis, but that does not mean I think ALL Republicans would do such a lousy job.

I think Angelika is making a sensible choice in moving to Mass.
New Hampshire is well known for having among the highest health insurance rates in the country. That's because we believe in minimal government and, as a consequence, have a tiny ineffectual state insurance office which monitors health insurance companies kind of like the SEC has been monitoring hedge funds in recent years.
By the way, Alice, Mass. is NOT going bankrupt from its mandatory health care policy. Check out yesterday's story in the Globe:

Hopefully, Obama will be successful in his efforts to bring healthcare reform to our country. I'm for a single-payer system, but I think that since only people who've been forced into bankruptcy by hospital bills or have been denied coverage for procedures they need will support such a plan, we're not there yet as a nation. But if reform doesn't happen soon, enough people will suffer the consequences of our present system that we'll all be looking at Canada enviously.
