in Ep 188: Human Giant, Pink and Penguins on Boxcutters - An Australian TV Podcast
I told you guys to put that thing down before you hurt someone again. Now look what you've done to poor KM.
I think you should change your podcast just like like show you mentioned on Channel 31 where there is only music and scenes (no actors or talking). You should just have 40 minutes and every so often have a guest segway. then we can all be safe.

John. As I was already thinking of putting a post up I will do so just so you guys don't feel like no one is watching your Podcast...
This idea of putting more news on TV is a lot of rubbish. Firstly the brave executive who takes away my episodes of the Simpsons will get a stern talking to from me (in a ACMA kind of way).
Secondly how much news can a network "make up". There is only so much "ligimiate" news. Then the rest is how many pimples ______ (insert name of dumb blonde bimbo here) currently has.
Thanks for letting me get on my soap box.

in Ep 180: Important Things with Demitri Martin, Cadbury Ads, No Logies on Boxcutters - An Australian TV Podcast
1- Tony Martin (the Comedian) used to refer to Karl Stefanovic as a Robot. Its great to see a drunk robot on TV. There should be more of it. The networks are too afraid of offending people these days.
2- The ONLY reason Talking 'bout your Generation works is Shaun Micallef.
3 - The Logies have been and always were a waste of space. I watched The Wire whilst the logies were on. It sounds like I had a better evening than those that watched the Logies.

The discussion with James was interesting (as always). However I am not sure the use of the word "Story" is a correct when when describing 1 and a half minute news items. I would have thought a Story would have a Beginning, Middle and End.
PS Have a safe trip Josh. Bring us home some juicy Gos form O.T (Over there).

I used to record the TV show themes on a Cassette. I would have many hours fo enjoyment with my friends playing "Guess that TV Show".
Unfortunetly somewhere down the track I lost the one and only cassette I put the recordings on. thank goodness for You Tube. I can now recreate my tape and get back to that many hours of fun.

in Ep 168: Bam Boom! Entertainment, Lie to Me, Underbelly 2 on Boxcutters - An Australian TV Podcast
Your comments about the Bushfire News Coverage was spot on. Why do they have to raise other so called sensations when the story itself is a sensation.
For instanstance the "rumour" of looting is outrageous. I have yet to here of one surviour say my home was looted.
In fact the other day i saw one of the TV networks go live to a reporter on site who when asked what about these stories of looting he answered that he had just spoken to a resident who had heard from someone that looting was occuring. Thankfully the reporter shifted his story to something more subsctantial.

Perhaps to avoid killing people everytime Josh says a name someone should over dub with "Mr Black". Sure it maybe hard to follow his conversation but no innocent lives will be lost.

in Ep 161: David Ashton & Damaris Baker, Survivors, News Themes on Boxcutters - An Australian TV Podcast
Its funny that you should talk about Survivours. I am part way through Stephen Kings Book The Stand. So far it sounds just like Survivors.
I know the virus that kill everbody is a "standard" story but I wonder if in this case Terry Nation or Stephen King sorrta copied the idea from the other.

in James Talia describes what it was like in Debrovnik on Boxcutters - An Australian TV Podcast
I agree a great article from James. Although a little too much patting on the back to journalists.
This is why I believe it is crucial to have Aussie journalists on the ground in all the other major continents.
I still wonder whether the body that was returned is actually Britts. Can't wait to hear what would happen if it isn't.

I think you guys missed out on a good opportunity with Josie to ask some general questions about Community TV.
I would have liked to hear her view on the future of Community TV, especially with Digital TV. Also what her thoughts of Salem Cafe moving to SBS.

in Ep 128: Wilbur Wilde, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, jPod on Boxcutters - An Australian TV Podcast
One of the best shows and that has nothing to do with Ross not being there.
I really enjoyed the HHIS reminisce. It was interesting to here Wilbur say how great all the behind the scenes people were but very little mention of Daryl. Whether you like him or hate him he did bring a great show together.
Please bring Wilbur back.
Damn that question was hard. I spent an hour researching the answer and still got it wrong.

I agreed with your comment about Kiss on the AFL Footy Show. They looked out of place and squashed.
In defence though, what other show could they have gone on. The only other variety show would have been Rove. Which hadn't started in time. I miss good variety TV. Someone should bring it back.
For a big band they did look out place and space. I assume they do the AFL Footy Show in the Channel 9 Studio.
I have been to that studio and it is a bit small. Especially when some of the floor space is taken up by studio audience.
I have never seen Kiss live but I assume they need a full stage to allow Gene Simmons tounge to fully extend. They would have been better of on the Footy Show Grand Final.
Keep up the great show.

Josh,
The Lost Podcasts (with Executive Producers)are really worth listening to. They especially avoid spoilers as they want you to watch the show.
The most they will tell you of the next episode is whose Flashback\forward its going to be.

Sorry guys. Not such a good interview. Yes Play School is great. However Alex is no John or Betina.
I don't think Alex is so grwat when one of his biggest moments is meeting Little Ted. Now Jemima is a different story. With a new dress and hairstyle she could be hot.

in Boxcutters Episode 104 on Boxcutters - An Australian TV Podcast
Josh said: Can anybody think of other shows that had a premise that was explained tediously in the opening episode and then had to have the premise repeated in the opening credits?
Heres a few easy ones:
- Brady Bunch
- Odd Couple
- Gilligans Island.
Wow thinking about it now it seemed to be a theme in the late 60's and early 80s

Josh,
You mentioned that The Bionic Woman had to go through the explaination in the first episode and the the $6 mill man summed it up at the beginning of the episode.
Wel recently I saw the 1st episode of $6m man and it was very slow as it went through the whole explaination with him.
