in Pirate Moves- Equip Your Ship on Chris Brogan
I'm right with "the other Matt (Tollotson)" above.
We just finished an event and built a substantial following for it.
Now we're focused on really listening and proactively seeking solid feedback to find out how to do it better next year.
Seth Godin just wrote a post about increasing revenue from existing customers vs. trying to find new ones.
So, maybe there is another step in the process after you execute and that's listen/engage/improve.

Hey Mark,
Thanks for shout out for REtechSouth.
Wish you were gonna be joining us. Maybe next time.
Jay, I think you are right on the money.
We're "king of the south" for sure.
REtechSouth has a very distinct feel.
Very different than anything else we've seen.

Hey Daniel,
Thanks for streaming the event. We had a great time. It's so nice to see social media so visible at the NAR expo.

in How Social Media Shaped The Presidential Campaign on Yoono Blog
I have to say that this aspect of the Obama campaign was impressive. I voted for McCain but I am now excited to support our new president as I hope everyone will. I pray that he has the "right stuff"

in The Secret Sauce for Real Estate Marketing on HomeStomper
Well Mark, You've hit my favorite subject!!!
Diamond Dwellings is building an entire brokerage franchise model based on niche marketing (mostly hyper-local geographic niches). So, we think that there is just no other way to develop a powerful position. Consistent success results from deep knowledge (and marketing of that knowledge) about a very specific subject.
Here's a couple of our websites for specific markets:

in The Truth About Building A Sustainable Business on HomeStomper
I think you nailed it right there. It's easy for commissioned sales people with "up-n-down" incomes to get hyper-focused on the next closing; rather than focusing on the structure of their business and the people in their business (customers, employees, "others").
Wow, I'm really enjoying throwing these nice stones from my glass house!

great stuff (although it hits pretty close to home!) I fight this battle with myself all the time! In fact, it seems to be a high risk for Realtors specifically.
