Just watched the Trulia video, and if the video is correct, then CENTURY21.com (where they pulled the MLS number) is also incorrect, which I HIGHLY doubt is true.

Even though I like Roost's concept, I don't agree with their business practices of putting down their competition.

Hey Jay... Count me in. Thanks to @craig42k for showing me this. I'm a big guy (280ish lbs) and need to lose weight now! This should hopefully get me going.

Currently, it might be a feasible to have both a blog and a static site, but we're starting to see, a mashup of sites that include parts of a static site and a blog.

If a blog is created correctly, it will have pages that are the "static" part of the blog for useful information. I would say see my site for an example, but I'm currently redesigning it so it's kinda bare-boned right now.

I agree with everything you say! I converted from my Blackberry a few weeks ago and thank God it's sexy, otherwise I might not keep it. It is getting better though (or I'm just getting used to it). My battery life seems to be getting better... not sure if it's the 2.0.2 update or what, but I can almost go a full day without a battery charge, as to when I first got it, it only last a few hours.

@Kris - That's news to me. My agents have always been able to brand their listings on Trulia and Zillow. Will have to investigate further...

@Joe - Listhub pulls from SOME MLS's, not all. And yes, every time a change is made, the agent does need to edit the listing, but better to do it in one spot (the syndication site), then every site that posts the property.

@Jamey - The one thing that makes me so mad about this industry is that soo many companies try to take advantage of us. I once received an email that said something along the lines of "Quit paying outrageous amounts per month for your blog, host it here for only $29.95/month!" Incredible! Most blogs are FREE!!

@Jeff - Duplicate content will always be a problem with multiple feeds. I'm assuming that the listing sites try to eliminate it as much as possible by using the address as the unique identifier, but if one listing says 123 Main Street and another says 123 Main St., that could be 2 different listings in the eyes of the site.

I'm impressed with this widget and have added it to Road to Real Estate: A Charlotte and Lake Norman Area Blog. But I'm even more impressed with Seann following up with some complaints/suggestions about this widget/program/website/etc. It just shows that he cares about what people are saying about his product and has already changed it due to some complaints/suggestions. Way to go Seann. Way to protect your brand identity and show that you are open to feedback.
