in Whiny Germans Think Climate Change Legislation Costs Too Much! on OpenMarket.org
One of my favorite lines is that the price of gasoline is the beginning of wisdom. As these realities multiply and people become aware of the costs of greenie lunacy society will start to ask the questions that should have been asked in 1962 when Rachel Carson entered the world of literature as a science fiction writer. Yes, the price of gasoline is just the beginning of wisdom. Well it turns out that the mounting costs of greenie lunacy will cause society to have the fullest grasp of wisdom. It is impossible to throw out everything that makes modern living possible and maintain modern living. DUH! What in the world was everyone thinking? Let’s all say it again and let’s get it right…..to be green is to be irrational and misanthropic.

in Ethanol Subsidies Ignite Inflation, Walloping Americans with Modest Incomes on OpenMarket.org
The cost of flour has increased so rapidly that most small bakers are having very real difficulties. For the most part, according to one of my customers, they are absorbing the cost themselves, hoping to ride out this storm without losing to many regular customers. A little bit of profit is better than no profit mentality. However, this can't go on forever and with all the food costs escalating it must be expected that more people will cut more "extras" from their daily lives. This customer is a regular listener of NPR and even they realize (begrudgingly) that the greenies ideas about ethanol and biofuels are an economic disaster in the making.
