Okay, now it works. but when I try to move it where I need it, Photoshop says that the layer is locked. Grr.

Yea I save it as png with alpha open it in cs3 i use the selector tool select it copy and and when I try to paste it, it pastes as greyscale.

brentspore It has to be something you are doing in Photoshop. First, be sure the document you are pasting into isn't a greyscale document and also try just dragging the layer over from the layers window. You shouldn't have to use the selection tool. it's already an alpha-channeled layer there should be no selecting necessary.

Everytime I try to use this in photoshop, whether I drag it to the new document or copy and paste it, it always ends up Grayscaled. hmh

brentspore Are you pasting it into Preview first and then saving it as PNG with alpha?
