If you click in to a given contact, you will see that their mobile number is here. So follow all of this except step 5!

Re: More Notes on the Helio

Dude, whatever on the iPhone:
http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u...

Re: Plug it in, Plug it in

How powerful does the gas generator have to be? Is it possible to make one that you can pull out of the car and use as a backup power system at home, or when traveling? (Say, while you are camping?) That would be sweet. If I'm going to have an internal combustion generator, I might as well be able to use it for all of my off-grid electricity needs!

Re: Samsung NV-10

Great shots!

Re: Fighting Beyond the Country Club Walls

This endless, quiet lake is not the one filled with poisonous gasses? If Farmer hadn't been able to show the impact of the approach he was taking, it seems unlikely that he would have as much support as he does today. Just something to consider. I would definitely work backwards from the reports and analysis you need -- or might need in the future.

Re: Bloody Effing Hell

Sounds like you'll just have to go back to wrap up the OpenMRS work... and I heard you didn't kill any elephants yet either. Let's get on that.

Re: Flickr as Blog

You know Flickr has a built-in for this, right?
http://www.flickr.com/blogs.gne

Or is that already how you got these...

Re: The Fourth Screen

I'm not sure if I buy that people are "going back out into the world" with their devices in quite the way that people did before the first screen emerged. What I mean is that in watching those clips of early cinema, I'm struck by how people socially interacted before cinema was common, I'm struck by the sense that everyone was much more... together? Is that the right word? Not united, but just sharing more common daily experiences and common mediated context. There was so little of it! I could be romanticizing or misrepresenting history, but it felt like there was more conversation between strangers and more interaction.

Even watching those visions of a flying car taking off, you see a throng of people around it as it rises, grouped in a way that you don't feel at airports now where everyone is plugged in to their own iPod, ignoring everyone around them unless a transaction is required. So are we really coming to deeply human world if we're all staring into these little screens as we walk around? Or, what can we do to create a place where people are more open, more talkative, less isolated, less connected-at-a-distance and more connected to the present moment and place? I don't think cell phones (as much as I love/rely on them) are the answer to that question.

Re: Hummer, RIP

Fortunately, just in time, BMW has created the X6.

Re: The Sad Decline of Friendster

Friendster is over -- I deleted my account back in December 2007.

Re: The History of Instructables

That quote doesn't strike me as particularly great for investor relations / confidence. Use it if you like it. The guy is giving the thing away for free, which as dotcommunist points out, might save you time if you need something like this. And really, who cares if you're impressed? I'm sure you have more important things to do than complain about how someone else's creation isn't good enough to rate a gushing post of your blog that no one reads.
