in Turn Your iPhone into a Barcode Scanner with ScanLife’s App on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
Cuecat was ahead of its time.

Do the back ground work. Digital Convergence and Neomedia Technolgies.

evano The technology may have been ahead of its time, but the uses described -- "go to an URL" in particular -- haven't changed from Cuecat days. (http://tinyurl.com/5nao9v)

There may be compelling uses for it, but with its lack of support in North America for other non-proprietary symbology, it still looks like a solution in search of a problem.

HHHMMM, no data matrix, QR, or Aztec scanning abilities?

Why bother downloading?

I would rather not waste my time.

Thanks anyway.

evano Says here (http://tinyurl.com/5fzwyv) it supports QR & DataMatrix. But the FAQ says not in the US. I'm not sure why.

This would be great if we, the consumer, could check to see if there were any recalls on a product before using. How about making a grocery list of items.

There would need to be multiple things that could be linked to find out additional information. Such as, logos, trademarks, 2D type barcodes, and the 1D type on the product, keywords, slogans, etc.

Or one can use the NeoReader and click on those codes and 1D, EAN, and Aztec codes.

More readable codes to come.

What is next, RFID interaction, keyword, slogan, billboard, trademarks, logos, etc.?
They should all be covered with one reader.

in More on Microsoft’s Surface Computing initiatives… on Scobleizer
Robert,

You have heard of this company before. Something along the lines of the next killer app?

Microsoft and Google have been pushing mobility.

Why would Microsoft have the consumer sit around their PC coffee table?

Does someone else own the connection between the mobile device and the physical world to get instant information thus pushing Microsoft into this made up area?

Qode with a web enabled mobile device, a consumer / web user could click on a, 1D, 2D, UPC, QR, slogan, logo, trademark, keyword, RFID, etc. and get price comparison, location, watch a preview of a movie, get a schedule, get a coupon, click on link of a short story (like the WSJ) that goes to the whole story, concert tickets, sent instantly back to me on my mobile device.

So how innovative is Microsoft and their new Surface PC table?

Qode offers one click to content.

Check out www.Qode.com.

So what has changed your point of view? Just curious.

Qode lets the brand manufacturer manipulate the 2D symbology anytime. So is the brand decides to change the promotion, offer a discount, create a recall, it can be readily changed.

Just Qode it.
