in Sarah Palin Sexism Watch, #24 on Shakesville
Ouch. I've been calling her Caribou Barbie (alternating with "Bible Spice") as well. I saw it as more of a reflection on her persona's intellectual capacity than a sexist thing. I mean, Dan Quayle was Indiana Ken as far as I was concerned, he was just as vapid.

Good grief, MB, you have GOT to learn to control yourself better, especially in a new job. :) Now I just hope I don't get hit with a similar acronym during the orientation at my new job...

Probably "Walking on Sunshine," although "Summer in the City" does it too.

I think Lisa had a point that the other two should have been more gracious; you could see she was hurting all the way through at feeling so rejected by the others. She created her own problems with her attitude, but I would guess that doesn't make the others' lack of consideration for her hurt any less. That said, I was expecting both Lisa and Antonia to go this time, and feel pretty safe in betting that it'll come down to Richard and Stephanie, either one of whom deserves it.

I know someone who was pretty badly poisoned by the mercury in his fillings. Most good dentists now will use resin, and if you have dental insurance it will more readily cover resin than mercury amalgams. I had three cavities filled a couple weeks ago, two with resin and one with mercury because the insurance wouldn't cover resin on the last one (which I believe was a molar).

I don't think it's the Democratic Party that's eager to make the decision for her. I think it's the media (particularly the cable nets like MSNBC), which has been harping the "why won't that bitch quit?" line for quite awhile now. I think it's criminal the way they want to control things, like it's all just another TV show that they ought to be producing rather than, you know, the democratic process.

Benjamin, it's my experience that many students don't really need any sort of impetus to be clueless.

I've posted many times about the use of blackface in blogs, which I consider generally abhorrent. However, this isn't conscious blackface. Here, the fans have painted their bodies and faces with the team colors, which are yellow and black, as many sports fanatics are wont to do. If they were more intelligent they might have opted to paint each half different colors, but then if they were more intelligent they'd probably eschew body and face paint altogether.
