Congratulations on your anniversary! And may there be many, many more!

I love how Regnar shoots down Kelneth's attempt to have an angsty elf-moment.

Zedwig, I don't think Fang wants to know how *Bactine* is doing, okay?

Maybe a little late now, but if you right-click on the icon for a program and select "Properties" there's a tab called "Compatibility" or something like that which lets you select a compatibility-mode. So if Elements 4.0 worked with an earlier Windows version you select it to run in that Windows version mode and it'll work again! (Hopefully, it worked with Painter Classic for me.) And also, wow, what a sweet couple you are!

in #382 - Fang means serious business on Lint
First rule of handling weaponry: never brandish a weapon you are not prepared to use.
And this is how Fang will find out that Bactine is a healer.

The third panel is *thrembling*. Lovely play of emotions here, you have such a way of using a multitude of means to tell the story - perspective, dialogue, facial expressions, colour. The sudden splash of red in the final panel of this greyscale page is very dramatic indeed.

Oh, so *that's* what he's doing. I thought he was going to check the wind direction for optimal dramatic hair billowing.
There's just too many pretty details going on all the time. :)

amuletts The hair-blowing theory has merit...

Ditto on the dragging sword... I can *hear* the sound it makes!

Maybe it's different with elves - the more inbred they are, the prettier they get.

colbycheese While I put that in just to be dumb, it's true that for the elves the more inbred they are the prettier they are, because inbred elves have a more concentrated amount of fairy blood in their veins.

Actually, the noun phrase "a hundred rooms" is the *notional* subject (with "rooms" as the head of the NP, "a" as the article and "hundred" as quantifier) and "There" is the subject proper, but you are right in that the finite verb should concord with "rooms". However, in spoken English Longman notes that the finite verb is likely to be in singular. So both ways work. Hooray for grammar.

colbycheese ... and knowing is half the battle.

I love how excessively educational things show up in my comments section from time to time.

They have crossed alpacas and cashmere goats? And made such sheer fabric from the wool? What a magical and wonderful world this is.

Colby, you are amazingly good at conveying so many different moods. I'm at the edge of my seat here (along with everyone else). The way you've used dialogue and pictures together is outstanding, particularly in how it allows us to gain the perspective of the soldiers. Our old friends, the ragtag group of adventurers, are now the Other, the elf ninjas. Bravo.

I'd totally trade all my Billy bookcases in their flat boxes for an Al'bert couch. He looks comfylicious.

I've had broken ribs. Six hours of listening to Bactine's yapping seems fair repayment for her healing them, BUT NOT ONE MINUTE MORE! (Am glad ribs are now healed, so it didn't hurt so much when I laughed my ass off at the last panel.)
