That was excellent!!!! I totally agree and the post-racial arguments drive me nuts!

I love it. Yeah he does look pretty good as Michelle. I wonder what Michelle would look like if she actually wore that much make-up.

I like him. I hope he isn't guilty of anything. I liked his speech at the convention and I was hoping to see a lot more of him. I wish he wasn't involved with this thing at all.

This is my opinion about the whole thing. Oh come on you guys! Its just a contest! Other people who are casual bloggers and consider it to be a hobby might want to enter just to see what happens. I don't think there's any point getting offended by it. He could have had a contest to win a computer or a vacation trip or something. Some people, maybe newer bloggers, will not be offended by the contest and they might actually enjoy meeting the people mentioned.

Is it really necessary to be outraged and offended by the slightest thing? Try to be optimistic and look on the bright side. Its a contest directed towards Black Bloggers, isn't that great? People are free to ignore and not enter the contest. There are probably other blog competitions and contests that aren't oriented towards Black bloggers at all and this is the first one I have seen (other than the Black Weblog Awards).

Some people might not like Tavis Smiley...so what? The prize in the contest is not a date with Tavis Smiley right? Its just a contest that he didn't have to offer in the first place. Some bloggers might feel that they don't need or want the attention, but some might want it and enjoy the chance of a lifetime in meeting some of those famous people. Its not for everyone. Its supposed to be FUN not an exhibit of the best and most influential bloggers chosen to represent the Black blogosphere. If that was what he was looking for it would have been more of a writing contest, or he would have just sought out influential bloggers. Its a first step. Someone else may come up with a better contest.

Remember, even though you may think your writing is important and that you are influential, there are billions of people who have never heard of you or your causes. I'm sure like there are influential activists and writers all over the world who you have never heard of. Relax people, be happy, its no big deal! Go Obama!

Seriously, even though I can't stand Palin I'm being objective here. Her clothes still look like they are from K-Mart. They don't look expensive at all. Her hair always looks the same, boring. maybe you really can't dress up a pig! Its really disgusting they are spending so much money on this Caribou Barbie. She should be one to talk about helping struggling workers. What a hypocrite! She is the essence of elitist! No wonder the McCain campaign is having problems...they are spending money putting lipstick on a pig who can't string together a coherent sentence. I don't know if there is a verbal form of dyslexia, but she can't seem to use words in an order that would make sense to anyone who's first language is English!

Isn't that nice. I would actually like to get a robo-call from her :)

I saw him on CNN yesterday. He sounds like an ignorant ass. He's one of those people who thinks that America can do no wrong ever and the the Iraq war was justified because America brought freedom to the desperate Iraqis. He definitely isn't someone who regrets the slaughter of the Native Americans or slavery.

I was so happy when this was breaking news on CNN last night! I literally jumped up and said "YESS!" I hope that this consumes the news for a while. I also home some more McCain supporters do stupid racist things because independents will be scared off from them.

I think its okay as long as the kids volunteered for the club and were not forced into it.There's nothing wrong with taking an interest in politics and whats going on with your country. Its more constructive than many other things. If kids can join youth Republican and Democrat groups then this should be okay. They are just doing fraternity stuff (some people might not understand that and think its a militant thing). They are just stomping or stepping.

I'll be crossing my fingers and hoping that tomorrow we hear she has dropped out of the race. Maybe she'll drop out during her speech tonight, but I don't have the stomach to watch.

YAY!!! This makes me really happy! It was so damaging for the media to debate the idea that Hispanics will never vote for Obama because he's Black. I hate all this speculation about why the polls are the way they are. They are just guessing and when you say one group will not vote for Obama because they are racists that is really disgusting and obviously untrue. They made me think that Hispanic and Latino people hated Black people. Some probably do, but the media made it seem like some sort of widespread tradition!

Dang! It took me like 10 seconds to figure out what was funny. I thought it was a little shop or something! That's their City Hall!!? OMG!!! Wow, she must have a really tough job with a lot of responsibilities and people to manage LOL!

Arghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! I am so sick of this crap! Good post but I am sick of these magazine articles and new stories about race just because the Obamas are black!!! What the f***!? "And anger will not do. Besides, what does she have to be angry about, with her Ivy education and Hyde Park mansion? Isn’t she herself an example of the fact that racism is over in America?" GOD!!!!! I hate this so much!!!! This is the typical crap the mainstream keeps on pushing that as long as you are a middle class educated Black person then race doesn't affect you and that racism is dead! Who the hell wrote this crap! Done!

I actually think he's right. If it was just between Obama and Clinton from the very beginning maybe she would have won. If the Edwards story came out in the middle of the campaign the news would be all over it and maybe that would have taken away some attention from Obama. Maybe Hillary would have started the nasty attacks on Obama sooner too.

But you can't change the past so tough luck for Hillary! It just was not her time! They can imagine what could have happened as much as they want, that doesn't change what happened. Does she want a do-over or something?

Yay! I missed the race but I was hoping things would go well for him!
