1) After paying the duty (15%) and VAT (20%) the price is the same ... (unless you plan to smuggle in your goods .... which is unethical) 2) Generally speaking to eat in the US is usually a lot cheaper then in Europe. 3) That's good on your point of view, but for an European company is now very hard to be competitive with an US company (selling products or services..), sure is good for your personal finances...
Holiday in Europe ? If you are wealthy...u don't care.... otherwise you head somewhere else... and there are lots of nice places around the world ..... Europe is just loosing the battle with they ridiculous over priced currency...
Why are you surprised ? Here in North America is common to find free open access in public places like restaurant / coffee shop / public libraries... etc... Where I am living they are installing free open WiFi all over downtown. Btw I think terrorist don't need an open wifi to be bad. It is Europe that is to freak out about this kind of things, the European governments wants to over look at everything and everybody....
