in Acronyms are NOT Your Friend - A Podcast on Writing White Papers
Michael, you raised a very good point (vitally important). Confused prospects simply don't purchase, the whole purpose is to reach out to your audience not make them confused.

Technorati rank fluctuates a lot so you don't need to worry about that. Thanks for keeping us updated though, really appreciate it.

in Steve Jobs Makes Nice With Mad iPhone Early Adotpers on Webomatica
I can't but say; very smart move. To be honest, I didn't see this one coming and I must say that it was indeed a very clever move.

They managed to please both their previous customers (which I presume purchase a lot of apple related products) as well as their new ones. Bravo.

in iPhone Price Drop: Some Early Adopters Are Mad on Webomatica
That's a big price drop. Thanx for noticing us, personally I think the iPhone like other Apple created products are full of hype and bad user experience.
There are several other cell phones with similiar functions to the iPhone but nobody talks about them.

Furthermore, I seriously doubt it will generate the same amount of hype here in Europe (I live in Sweden) as it did in the states. I guess we would just have to wait and see.

Jordan, I can assure you; you are not the only one drooling. Google has spent lots of time and energy to improve analytics, the ppc interface and now also the website optimizer.

It's hard not to like their products, very hard.

in Seeking Your Feedback, Please… on Writing White Papers
Michael, personally as someone who is very into your work I enjoy your material and would be more than pleased if you wrote 10 posts a day!

Despite this, I voted for a much less number; I think this would be more fair to your audience and yourself. Why don't you try posting 3 posts a day for a month and then 5 posts the next month and see if the length each visitor stays changes?

Should one cry or laugh? I don't think he actually read your newsletter and most likely not your book, it's a shame...

That book is one of my favorite books on business/marketing. The fun thing is that he writes it from each and ever perspective (the customer/target and the marketer). I haven't experienced the example you wrote of though...

in Targeting C-Level Exec’s? Try … on Writing White Papers
Well as far as I am concerned there are two ways of getting at the top:
a) Start out from the bottom withing an already existing business and work yourself up. A slow but more secure option.

b) Take the entrepreneur route. More insecure but more fun and rewarding. Just my lousy 0.02$ (or 0.13 Swedish Kr ^^)

in Disasterous Distractions, Why I Love My iPod on Writing White Papers
How I keep focused? Well, most of the time you don't. It's a matter of prioritizing in my opinion. With wi-fi connection all over the place together with products such as the iPhone it is pretty difficult to stay focused these days, but then again is that something bad?

in Encouraging Words for the Meek: Hold Fast on Writing White Papers
Michael, you made some very good points there. I believe too many people give up too early, most likely do to the lack of patience. Without patience, there is no real reason to indulge in any type of activity. You have to be prepared to face hardships and fail at times, just hang in there!

Thank you, I subscribed to this blog yesterday. Hope I will continue to enjoy your posts...

in Can $20M Investment Help hi5’s Social Network Compete? on Marketing Pilgrim
Here in Sweden, hi5 is pretty huge. I do hate their ingenious e-marketing though. First time "spam" actually made me sign up to something, there are truly some potentials here. Although, IMO, the marketing has been better than the service it self.
