Monday mornings suck after a playoff loss. Then I thought, hmmm, wait a minute, last year I would have given anything to feel this way! The Dolphins lost their playoff game. THE DOLPHINS LOST THEIR PLAYOFF GAME! Last season, the Dolphins won ONE GAME. This year, they lost their PLAYOFF GAME! OMG! Last year at this time, I was thinking about how good it would be if the Dolphins could win 4 or 5 games this season. The Dolphins did not win 4 or 5 games this season, they more than DOUBLED that number and got themselves into the playoffs! The way the Dolphins played this year, makes me sad to see their season come to an end, but gives me hope to look forward to what they may do next season. Even though this season has just ended for the Dolphins, I am anxiously awaiting the start of training camp and next season, to see how they can build and hopefully improve on this past season. And, I can also be thankful for the Detroit Lions, who made our 1-15 season a distant memory!!!

Sparano should be strongly considered for Coach of the Year. Sure, the Fins don't have the best record in the league, but when you consider how the finished the year last year and the fact that no one gave them any chance to do well this season, Sparano has done a heck of a job. He should certainly get a great deal of consideration for the honor. Way to go Coach Sparano and the rest of the Dolphins!

The Dolphins need to approach each game as though it is the last game of the season, with a sign posted in the locker room reminding them of their record last season. Go out there, play smart, determined football in an effort to beat last season's record. Yes, I know that they already have, but they need to forget that fact, and play their hearts out to make sure they improve over last year.

And the Marlins can head into the offseason feeling fairly good about themselves because unlike the Mets, the Marlins WON their last game of the season! Thanks for a good season Fish!

McCabe and Ballard are solid defenders. They both are great additions to the Panthers.

I have only one thing to say.....WOW! Who cares if it was skill or luck. Who cares if Tom Brady wasn't playing. The Dolphins beat the Patriots, in Foxboro no less! As they say...on any given Sunday....

The playoffs are out of reach for this season for our Fish, but that doesn't mean the season cannot end on a positive note. If the Fish can end the season by winning a couple of their last games, and our young stars can show a glimpse into how they are capable of playing in the future, and we can retain at least some of our current stars, we have a lot to look forward to next summer. Only half of the teams get to win their last game of the season...Go Fish!

Let's hope that this game was not an aberration and that we find the Dolphins on the winning end of a few more football games. I will start getting excited about the Dolphins' prospects for the season when I see a couple more W's in the wins column. Until that time, my thoughts about the win over the Patriots are this: Wow. Cool.

Keep charging Fish. Even if you end up missing the playoffs, you have made the end of the season very exciting! That being said, keep on winning and get to the playoffs!

Go Fish! Prove us wrong in our doubts!

I am a Marlins fan from a climate no where near as appealing as the climate of Miami. If given the opportunity to watch my favorite baseball team play a game outdoors on a beautiful summer day - I would be there in a heartbeat! I guess the saying is true - you never know what you have got until it is gone! Hope that doesn't happen to the Marlins.

I was going to say the same thing. Outside of the Big 10, probably not many football fans had heard of Tom Brady. But playing for Lloyd Carr prepared him for the mental toughness required to play in the NFL. If Chad Henne can even be half as good as Tom Brady, the Dolphins probably have their best possible QB successor to Dan Marino on the roster now in Chad Henne. Listen and learn Chad. The accolades will come when you have earned them.

Obviously Pelfrey needs a larger baseball cap because the one he currently is wearing is cutting off the circulation to his brain - that is, of course, assuming he has one in the first place! Time and time again, we hear of athletes making promises about a guaranteed victory against their opponent. Then we end up having to hand them a towel to wipe the egg off of their faces. If I was an athlete playing a team sport and one of my teammates made one of those stupid promises in public, I would personally punch him or her in the face. They just serve to inspire the opponent. So the Mets better watch out when the Fish play them next because I would have those remarks posted all over the lockerroom!

Ah, yes, this is the time of the season that can be very hard on a team's fans. Leading us to the brink, and then watching, either in agony or ecstasy, as our team plays its remaining games of the season. I would like to think my Fish will provide me with more ecstasy than agony, but I will also have my fingers crossed as I watch each of the remaining games on the schedule. If only I could give them a little shot of energy to get them through these games with more wins than losses.

Its a long 16 game season, and injuries happen. Maybe the fins do start the season with just Ricky as their running back and Ronnie on the sidelines. But the season gets to be a grind, even for the young guys, and injuries can happen. Having Ricky start the season, and Ronnie eventually able to come in a spell Ricky, and who knows, maybe even take over later in the season as the #1 back can only help the fins avoid a late season fish fry!

Well, hopefully the good vibes of Nolasco's pitching and hitting performance on Sunday can light a fire in the shorts of his teammates and get them fired up as well. Even though it will be a tough uphill climb, more performances from all of the Marlins like that could at least make it a very interesting and exciting September.

I said it in a comment to another article, the bullpen has been killing us! When there are available pitchers that could be picked up to help shore up the bullpen, or the starting pitching, some effort should be made to do that!

I guess having Chad Pennington around the team could actually be good. He has the experience for the others to learn from. And even though he wasn't the greatest quarterback for the Jets, as we often times see in professional sports, a player sometimes just needs a change of atmosphere, coaches and teammates, and their career gets jumpstarted again! It happens quite often in baseball...look at C.C. Sabathia! Maybe the Dolphins will be the better fit for Chad Pennington and he can be the C.C. Sabathia of football!

The Marlins season is slip, slip, slipping away. The bullpen isn't able to save them and, in fact, may be the death of them. The Marlins need to decide how long they want to play this fall, suck it up, and play a full 9 innings.

I can't see where Pennington is in any position to be very demanding about how much money he gets. Any money offered by the Dolphins, or any other team for that matter, is better than what he will make in the real world! I will take a million a year to sit on the bench, run the other teams offense in practice and never get my uniform dirty!

While Lo Duca may not add a bat to the Fish right now, he does provide them with the opportunity to give Matt Treanor a day off behind the plate on occasion. That is something all catchers need with the battering they take behind the plate.

Agree. The Fish just need to keep picking away at those teams above them and making sure they don't fall apart against the bottom teams and they should be able to keep themselves in the hunt!
