in An Online Advertising Guide on How To Split An Atom
Great comprehensive guide here - nice to see it all in one place and a nice easy read.
It is easy to get confused with all these terms and abbreviations so well done on a decent post!

in Look Out iTunes, Lala Is Here on How To Split An Atom
I am using Itunes because I use the Airport and Airtunes - I needed a wireless solutiion to stream audio and this was the only thing. Of course, being annoying as Apple are, airtunes only works with Itunes - so I am stuck with it.
I don't mind too much apart from a couple of points such as unless I have added a tune to itunes, it will never show - there has been many songs lost in the syncing that I have stumbled across a while later that I forgot I had as it didn't go to itunes correctly!

Excellent work - I have been using spamfighter which does a pretty good job though after the trial period all your emails have got the spamfighter information at the bottom of the email which makes it a bit naff.
I'll give this one a whirl

This is pretty good I must say - not only looking at competitors but looking at your own site to see the weaknesses there in comparison to other.

in Google Throws Chrome Into The Browser Wars on How To Split An Atom
I'm of the same opinion as you - I will not be changing from firefox for a while to come.
The only main advantage I can see so far is the independent processes per tab - I;m sure someone will develop something like this for FF?
Google must have something more up their sleeve than this as they have joined the whole browser game very very late.

Independent processes also means that in a long run sense, it will probably eat more resources than Firefox. I like it but certainly not enough to change over.

Aha - I have been looking for an alternative to outlook for a while now - going to give this a go for a while and see how it is.
Gotta love Open Office as well!

Thunderbird is definitely worth a look if you aren't an outlook fan. I would, however, suggest that you try out Xobni if you are already using Outlook.

in World’s Thinnest Televisions Making It To Market on How To Split An Atom
Wow - that is a lot of cash to just get it slightly thinner - especially considering your standard flat panels have come down so much in price recently.
I guess at the moment these are for the super rich but in a couple of years they will become a lot cheaper.
hang on... free shipping... nope still can't justify it.

With regards to the computer - Really I would think you would find it hard to find a new computer that didn't accommodate your specs - I mean getting an 80GB hard disk is tough now -
RAM is easy to add as long as your mobo supports it which if it is new, it undoubtedly will.
All off your requirements would run on the most basic of machines.
So ultimately you could go for a bargain model and add your own software and it would suit you, or, spend more to get better components that may last a longer time.

I'm sure someone, somewhere has already thought of it and is doing it but in a strange way I think it could work.
I remember watching the documentary by Bernard Manning after he died - he knew he was dying and made this clip for his friends and family - quite eery really.

As fun as this conversation is, I agree, there is a market here somewhere.

I had a similar issue with outlook - I wanted my emails bit once you let the collection of spam store up it is too much of a job to go through and delete the bad from the good.
It takes an age to transfer what is 90% junk.
Lesson to me - try to delte spam emails regularly

I made a mistake when first starting to design my site of only looking at it through firefox. It would seem firefox would let you get away with some mistakes that IE was not forgiving. This meant that IE users were seeing a poorly formatted page - 70% of users use IE so this was a huge error
