By the way, nice article in the Green Guide on Thursday. Although I thought it was a bit odd that the writer didn't actually say what the show is about, only hinted at it (including the photo which kinda looks like Josh is either trying to stop John dropping the TV on his head or using it as a substitute for going to the gym and lifting weights).

What did you guys think of it?

I'm another one who used to watch tapes over and over and over and....

I saw National Lampoon's Vacation a few years ago on DVD and actually got a little annoyed when I didn't get to sing along with "Holiday Ro-o-o-o-o-o-o-ad" at each spot the ads were supposed to go.

"Ed, I am not your ordinary, everyday fool, ok?"

According to the Freeview website, the 15 channels will be 3 channels from each of the 5 networks: ABC1, ABC2, ABCHD, 7, 7HD, 7SD, 9, 9HD, 9SD, and so on. There's no mention of anything "exclusive" or "unique", they're the same as anyone else who has HD equipment will watch.

Oooh, wait, if I get a Freeview-branded TV, STB or PVR, no doubt paying a huge premium on top of the price of a non-Freeview-branded equivalent, I'll get their EPG. Wow. I'm going to go and queue up at Hardly Normal right now so I don't miss out. Not.

On a side note, we play "guess the voice-over artiste" at our place, and we reckon Teo Gebert from Play School does the Freeview ad.

@ KMJvet1: For the record, if I drop in to see my folks when Top Gear is on, my Dad is outnumbered by women 3 to 1, all glued to the screen (although I don't find Clarkson particularly likeable either!)

@jimbo: just read your article on ninemsn "Disgrace aplenty at Fromelles". Very moving and you've inspired me to learn some more on the subject.

Josh and Brett: well done for keeping Wilbur's name dropping to a minimum this time around. His story's can sometimes be entertaining, but more often than not, strike me as an attempt to big-note himself.
