in Not sleeping in on LifeSans
I agree that it's the frame of mind. I too am working on this, as I've been a night person and sleeping in almost daily for the past 3 years. Yikes! I'm working on becoming a early riser and it's been challenging but rewarding. The biggest challenge for me is turning off the computer at night and fighting off my impulses to browse. :)
Love your new blog. Keep it up!

in Trading Places with Indian Outsourcers on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
I've worked with technical teams remotely in India in the past and while it is a more economical choice, the turnaround in responses to simple questions can be extremely slow.
As Ergest pointed out above, Indian teams (from my experience) are fantastic at following instructions if you know exactly every little detail before the project starts, however, with even the smallest ambiguity, they'll ask for instructions instead of making a decision. This can be frustrating due to the lag in turnaround time for email responses.
There are of course extremely talented and responsible tech workers in India, but are harder to find, since they are either employed by foreign companies or are living abroad working for a foreign companies.
Thanks for sharing, Tim!

I appreciate the template. It gave me lots of ideas and will be super helpful. I'm now crafting my own template to give to the VA.
Thanks for the inspiration Tim. :)

in 10 Steps to Become an Email Ninja on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
Nice article Leo!
The trick is to take action immediately, never leave an email read and not taking any action on it. That's when they start to pile, not only in your inbox but also clutters your mind.
Two others tips:
Auto filter as much as possible. Gmail is great for this. I get very few promo emails, because I filter them all out.
Use specific labels/tags/folders for common tasks. I have one label called Travels which holds travel itinerary for flights, and for airport pickups of friends.
I wrote a quick 4 step guide on the topic that I use regularly (if anyone's interested): 4 Steps to Banish Email Clutter
Cheers,
Tina

in It’s Blog Action Day on Sufficient Thrust
Hi there, those are useful housekeeping tips... I will try.
By the way, just a note to let you know that, I've added you to my list of tags to join in Alex Shalman's "Caring Compassion Charity". The idea is for you to write about something you're passionate about. You would link to me and I would link back to the originator. It's a good way to build networking. You can find my article post here: http://thinksimplenow.com/happiness/the-causes-...

in Why You Should NOT Wake Up Early Tomorrow on Sufficient Thrust
Hmmm.. I love this article and can relate completely.
For the past several months, my sleeping has been 2-4am to 9-11am. Sometimes, I get into such state of flow with what I'm working on that I'd be up until 6am. I don't feel tired and I do not drink coffee. I'm a highly productive person and have felt that I work more efficiently and effectively on this schedule.
Great post!
