Nice video of an old Anfield, early 1970's that I think. There's a feeling among a lot of Everton fans that apparently they will adopt a physical approach to try and knock Liverpool out of their stride and grab a win on Sunday but I doubt this will work. With the likes of Carragher, Gerrard and Lucas (who loves a battle) involved, Liverpool should be more than a match for their city rivals in that department. I expect a backlash following the poor display against Man U and a convincing home win.

Such a dull game after an initial bright opening half hour from England. Really thought this friendly would be worth a watch but it ended up as boring as pretty much every other England friendly in the past few years. Players clearly playing with their clubs in mind and not wanting to get injured turned it into a mere exhibition game designed to give Beckham his 100th cap.

Well I hope people didn't bother with the England game in the end - awful. I honestly thought this friendly would be entertaining but so it turned out to be as dull as pretty much every other friendly over the past few years. Clearly players with much to play for still for their clubs were playing at half-pace so as not to get injured and this was no more than an exhibition game to ensure Beckham got his 100th cap. Very disappointing.

Nice compilation that. He was one of the few players to come out with any credit on Sunday against Manchester United for me. His booking before Mascherano was sent off was completely ridiculous too and Liverpool should be looking to appeal that decision.

I think the average attendances are very healthy considering the prices fans have to pay out for tickets these days. Barring just a few clubs, the average attendace at most grounds this season is less than 3,000 short of capacity and that is very impressive. From Aston Villa upwards it shows that the top clubs are getting full houses pretty much every home game and that's not something that can be said about the other top leagues in Europe.

A great game spoilt by Ashley Cole's reaction when being talked to by Mike Riley. The tackle was a disgrace and he should have been sent off without doubt. But he still has the audacity to show the ref a total lack of respect. The FA have said they can't do any more on this as he was booked but what a terrible example to set to the kids from England's left-back. Shame on him.

Should be an interesting game but don't expect too much from England. The game comes just a week after the end of the season and most players will already be in holiday-mode by then with a few months off on their minds. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised in America pulled off a shock win in this game.

Never quite sure whether to believe these leaks or not, but they look fairly legit and I've heard lots of rumours that the 2nd kit was planned to be grey (like a remake of the one in 1990) so these could be the real deal. The home one looks a bit plain for me but solid enough.

Ronaldinho's goal was awesome - one of the best of the year so far for me. Quaresma is amazing too, surely a move to the Prem will happen this summer for him?

Thought Bolton were going to pull off another great result in Europe. They were very good in the first half and Sporting only looked like they were interested in the second half when Vukcevic came on and hit the bar before equalising. I wouldn't put it past Megson and his side to get a result in Portugal now either?

I can't believe how poor Olympiakos were against Chelsea. This is a side who pushed Real Madrid in their group, finishing with an almost identical record. They also won 3-1 in Germany against Werder Bremen and appeared as tough to beat away from home as they normally do at home. Lat night, however, they just didn't seem to fancy it at all from the start and were blown away by Chelsea. Surely it can't be Liverpool v Chelsea again in the CL this season?

What a superb win for the Gunners. Totally deserved and I felt it was just a matter of time till the goal, although they left it late! I have the feeling that this will finally be the year of an all-English final - not sure how Moscow will cope with that but anyway. Well done Wenger, spot on tactics over two legs in the end.

It has to be the Murphy goal for me. A brilliantly-weighted pass and a belter into the top corner. Torres, Eduardo and Hasselbaink's were very good too but Murphy's is the most spectacular.

A goal for Arsenal early on and we're in for a belter tonight. It's a very winnable tie for the Gunners with Milan struggling a bit in Serie A at the mo. Obviously the likes of Kaka, Pirlo and Inzaghi need looking after but I expect Wenger to mastermind a win in the San Siro. Four English teams into the quarters by the end of next week?

I have to say, from a neutral point of view, that it was great to see Chelsea lose and someone else with something, so well done Spurs. If the reports in England are to be believed on Tue by the way, then Grant could be on his way out of Chelsea sooner rather than later. Rumour has it, Terry was fuming at the uncertainty of what the team would be in the few days before the final and had a big fall out with Henk Ten Cate (assistant coach). Seems like Grant's tactics in the game annoyed some senior players too who were frustrated with Anelka out wide.

I'm not sure this win by Roma has received the attention it has deserved really. A great win for me that gives them a great chance of making it through? obviously it will be hard in the Bernabeu but surely they are the favourites now.

Lucky? I don't think so. Although after watching it again on TV ( I didn't get a great view from the Main Stand) I think the first foul from Materazzi was completely accidental so Liverpool were fortunate in that respect. A totally deserved win, however, as Inter were desperate for 0-0 right from the first kick.

I'm not sure about the Alan Smith goal being in there myself - it was a run of the mill effort really? Loads of great goals though, great work!
