This song will really minister to you and your wife both. You truly have the heart of god. Draw near to him and he will draw near to you. Just surrender and allow him to work through you and you cannot fail because it isnt you doing it, but it is christ. this video and song were given to me just for you both.

Very well stated. I agree with you and hope that many will come to know christ through a service like that. For many it is the only time they will come face to face with their own mortatlity. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I hope many see him for who he really is.

Lately I also have been researching what is in our water. It would amaze you the nasty things in our water. A few months ago we bought a water distiller and the water we get from it tastes so pure it is crazy.

We had always used a water filter, but it was just a charcoal faucet mount filter that did not filter out a number of substances. One of these substances is fluoride. They add it to the water to (allegedly) strengthen teeth. In seeking the origins of this I learned that the original person that started this wanting to add flouride to water was an owner of an aluminum mine. the process of mining aluminum produces fluoride, so the owners of the mine learned that they could sell the fluoride and be killing two birds with one stone. They get rid of the byproduct, and they obtain money for it. Studies in areas of fuoridation and non-fuoridated areas have also shown that there is no difference in the rate of cavities.

There are a great number of chemicals in our water. There are labs where you can have your water tested and see what exactly is in the water. We really enjoy the ease of use from our water distiller and feel good knowing the water is pure and free of contaminates. It is as easy as running a coffee maker and gives water that is 99.9 % pure. We chose this over the reverse osmosis system, because for every gallon of water used in reverse osmosis several gallons are discarded. Also, with distallation there is not the costly filters and the water quality is more pure and consistent.
Drinking water is also a great way to help you lose weight , because you feel more full when you are drinking more water. Water also helps balance out the sodium level in the body so drinking more water helps you know that you don't have to worry as much about your sodium intake.

Anyways.. enough rambling, but definately something to look into. I think it is the best investment we have made in awhile. At the very least it is cheap to buy a faucet mounted charcoal filter.

Wow. It is interesting stuff. I have been also watching what I eat over the last few years. I have made some adjustments to my diet as well. I have started eating a lot more vegetables and trying to limit my greasy meat intake. I also take vitamins everyday. I take flaxseed oil, a daily multi-vitamin, and folic acid supplement. I didn't really used to care what I ate, but now that I have a child I started to rethink things. It is also significant because I am a steward of the body that god has given me and I want to take good care of it. Flaxseed oil has essential fatty acids and DHA which are good for heart health and other things I hear (i.e. anti-oxidents).

I take the multi vitamin just for the other vitamins, and the folic acid for it's promotion of cell building.

When I first was saved I was also with the thoughts that abundant life equaled easy, fat, and happy life. I quickly learned this was not true. God has blessed me with so many things I am forever grateful, but my life isn't all roses. At times I feel as though I am under attack more than non-believers. A pastor put it just about perfectly the other day, your going to suffer without Jesus, may as well suffer for him. It is our duty really to endure.
Revelation 3:14-22 "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm?neither hot nor cold?I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
This message has been repeated to me through several sources over the past few weeks and I think god is really showing me something. So many Christians are luke warm, or downright cold. The are comfortable where they are and are in need of nothing. God wants us to be overcomers. He wants us to push beyond our comfort zone. He has really been speaking to me about these very things lately. I believe there is a huge revival coming. I am in training so that I can serve when it comes. The lord said in the last days he would pour out his spirit on the earth and I believe it is here, so I say rejoice in your affliction and suffering, for great is your reward in heaven.

That is awesome. This is an idea that the enemy loves. It is rampant, sadly even through the church. I am sad to hear how many so called " christians "are lost. This guy seems to proclaim true biblical truth, which is rare these days. We need so many more proclaiming these truths.

I also just finished the old testament. I have never fully read it before so I have been trying to read it over that last few months. I have a couple chapters left in numbers I haven't finished yet, but other than that I am done.
Lately, I have been in a new place in my walk with god. Our pastor just finished a series on putting god first. It had a huge impact on me. I had to ask myself with all my talk am I really putting him first in my life. I had to repent and ask for forgiveness, because I had to admit that he was not first in my life. I was giving financially, but it wasn't regularly, it was here and there. Someone gave their testimony on tithing and I had never heard of it put this way. God doesn't need our money, he wants our hearts and minds, and many times our hearts and minds are on money. Sometimes it is other activities. I have been reading my bible daily for the past several months, but I wasn't giving the lord the first part of my day. I was resolute to change my lazy attitude towards god. I heard a pastor put it this way once. How can you tell how much you love someone or something? He went on to explain that the only true way to tell is the level of sacrifice and dedication you show to them. I felt so convicted. I am now tithing regularly and I do my very best to put my prayer time and bible time in the first of the morning.
I also attended a three day spirit led course called Ancient paths seminar that god used to transform my life. It explained why I did some of the things I did even though I never understood why I did them. The holy spirit used small group ministry and prayer to free me of many chains that had been holding me down.
http://www.familyfi.org/ I encourage everyone to check it out. I witnessed god transform and set a nice lady free from years of anger and bondage through this course. It is definately worth while.
I still have a long way to go in my walk with god. I am by no means perfect, but to me the old testament spoke to me about god's abundant love and forgiveness he shows to us. He loved us so very much he sent his one and only son to bear our sins on that old rugged cross.
Dear lord jesus, I pray right now for all those that don't know you today. I pray that you will show them through the changes you have made in my life and family. Heavenly father you are so glorious and perfect. Thank you for your unfailing love for us all. Thank you for sending your son to die for us. Thank you for leaving us your word to be a lamp unto our feet. I also thank you father for dedicated, caring, and selfless friends such as jeff and jaime. I pray lord that you will bless them a double portion, pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing, for their dedication and service to you and your kingdom. In your glorious name I pray lord. Amen

I didn't even realize that you were on a well. I hope all goes well with that digging. I know it is frustrating when things like this happen. I wanted to drop in and say hi and see how you are doing. I will also say a prayer for your friend. I am reading my bible avidly lately. Every day I am spending time with god, listening, talking, learning. I am reading his word every day. I started a little unorthodox with it. I started by reading most of the new testament and then by reading psalms. Then I went to Genesis and from there I went straight through. I am currently in second kings. I really enjoy reading about Elijah. He has such great faith, I want to be like him. I feel so much better when i get my time with god everyday. It makes everything easier. As a follow up I have a praise report in that my neighbor has a cell group that he has had for awhile and I just started going the last few weeks. I have been praying for a godly guy or guys to be friends with, pray with and spend time with. God has answered my prayer for this and I give him the glory for it. There is a group of abour 4 or 5 guys that meets in his garage. We just kinda read the word. Pray with one another and praise god. They are a good group of guys and God has really blessed me by moving me into this group. In my job I get so frustrated everyone is so angry and negative, this group really helps me to talk about it. I would also ask you to pray for my sister, I am not sure where she is currently and her children have been taken from her and are who knows where. I don't get to see them and I miss them very much. She is hooked on crack cocaine and other drugs. I tried to witness to her, but she is so lost. If you could say a prayer for her I would appreciate it. God is good. He never changes and I find so much comfort in that. Hope to hear from you soon.

in Baptism. Some thoughts…. on Jeff Bristow dot COM
This topic reminds me of an incident I had with my co-worker the other day. I was at work and was told earlier in the day that there had been a man from Sri Lanka in town trying to raise money for his church "The Unification of world Christianity church"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unification_Church
I decided to do a little research on what this "Church" was all about. I quickly learned that this was not a church at all, but rather a cult started by a Korean guy who thought he was the Messiah and he believes that Christ died before he could complete his mission. He also believes that Jesus was not god in the flesh, and that he was not devine in any way. I was shocked. With the name of Unification of world christianity who would have guessed. I then began to talk with my Co-worker I will call "Bob" about it. Bob was a self professing Christian that rarley missed church services on Sundays. I told him wow that is crazy huh. I said that guy is doing a lot of harm by professing these lies. Bob then said naw not really. I said what? Bob said well they believe in god. I said yes, but they are missing out on the big picture. Jesus died for our sins. He died on a cross, he was God made flesh. He was the devine sinless sacrifice for our sins. I then told my co-worker that if they did not believe this fact that I did not think they were saved, and this person who is preching the lies is leading people to hell. ( Everyone has the right to say anything they want and I am not advocating anything to hinder free speech.) , but I wish I could have witnessed to him. My Co-worker said well they believe in god and they believe Jesus existed. I told my friend Bob that it wasn't enough to believe they were just people who lived a long time ago. That was all we said about it that night.
The next day I was listening to Dr. adrian Rogers message Three things you can't learn in school.
http://www.oneplace.com/common/player/oneplace/...
I could tell the holy spirit was using me to speak the truth to Bob's heart. Bob said nothing but soon He came into room I was in and he was clearly upset. His face was red and he almost appeared to be in tears. He told me angrily " this is why I don't listen to those radio preachers. They only dwell on How Jesus died, He said I think we should concentrate on how Jesus lived. I told him I believe that we should live as Christ lived, But I also feel that if we don't believe that Christ died and rose again to pay our sin debt.
The next statement that came out of his mouth shocked me to the very core. Bob told me that all we need to do is treat people nicely and the rest of it will take care of itself. meaning our sins will be forgiven through our nice works. Bob was clearly upset, so I said nothing more to him about the subject. He was almost in tears, I believe it was because the holy spirit had convicted his heart. He knew that he was wrong, but he was too proud to say he needed Jesus to be saved. I am glad and proud to say that I don't deserve The perfect gift of grace given by our lord through his son Jesus Christ. I know I need Jesus , because even our good works are as filthy rags without Jesus. I thought since he was a professing Christian and a church goer that he was saved. How could he be so lost. I think Pride gets in the way of so many from them accepting the gift god has given to us. This is why I believe Jesus said the last will be first and the first will be last in the kingdom of heaven, and in order to get to heaven we must become like a little child. How is that? I believe it is that we have to trust as the little children do. I pray for Bob a lot and I want him to accept the gift that god has for him. I wonder what they teach at his church. I am so very afraid that many are being led astray by ministers not teaching the truth.
