in 7+7 Reasons Why Google Buying FeedBurner is a Match Made in Heaven & Hell on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I hope Google buys Feedburner. I think it'll be good for us Blogspot/Bloggers somehow.
And Andy, check your Monetize tab on Feedburner.
The other day mine gave me the ability to join FAN -- and I've got around 221 feedburner subscribers. I wonder what stats they use?
Peace,
Paula

in How To Find The Digg Friends You Never Knew You Had on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I Dugg your post, Andy, it's excellent.
Now I need to go back and add you as my friend.
The thing is, I'm going to check and see if anyone has written a program to automatically befriend the people on Digg who have already befriended me.
//engtech did that with his Technorati program, so I'm sure some already has (or soon will) create the same type of puppy for Digg, one that gets around that "adding friends too fast" error message that I've also encountered.
Thanks Digg friend,
Paula

Hey -- Over 65K? You'd better go!
And yes, my mother kinda taught me these concepts. I'm glad she did.
It's funny, some people find my blog by typing in questions like, "Why are black people so loud?"
But every opportunity to teach is good...

in Results: Top Wordpress Plugins (April 2007) on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
Yes, Andy, your DOFOLLOW tips helped my PR jump from 2 to 5 -- I love it!
But I can't vote on these plugins till I actually get serious on WP.
In the meantime, I don't think you made my list of blogger salaries. Do you post your income?
And I rarely do this, but would you all PLEASE do me a big favor and Digg this for me:
Paula's List of Blogger Salaries...Are you on the list?
Thanks!

in What’s in a name? EVERYTHING - Cho Seung-Hui vs. Seung-Hui Cho on 8Asians.com
I noticed that too.
Good thing I went with the Boston Globe's order of Cho's name, which I'm assuming is correct, per your post.
Thanks and be blessed,

in What does the Easter Bunny have to do with Jesus? on YBPGuide
Yeah, I've read that the whole egg thing came into play because they were celebrating some false god of fertility.
Anyhoo, I know what I'm celebrating: The fact that my Savior Jesus took so much pain and humiliation for me, was tortured, died and came back to life.
Glory to God in the highest!

in Goal Setting & Technorati 100 on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
Thanks, Andy. I was able to easily upload my Technorati favorites RSS feed as a new page element on Blogger, and it's now pulling it my top 5 (that's the preset maximum -- I can't find out how to up this # to 10 or more in the script) most-recent Technorati favorites posts on my blog.
I hope they'll show up as a link on Technorati like yours are...
If you ever catch your most recent post being linked to my me, let me know!
Happy Weekend,
Paula

No offense taken; thanks for reading my post.
And yes, of course I wouldn't repeat and bold important SEO phrases if I didn't want people to find them.
Alas, such is the life of an SEO'er...
I do wonder how the whole SEO-Google game will change in the future.
It should be a fascinating ride...

Hey Andy - You never answered my question about how you got your links to your favorites on Technorati to show in your sidebar.
Is that a WP plugin or something I can use on Blogger, too?
Did you grab that code from the Technorati tools section?
Thanks!
Paula

in Stop Writing for Search Engines on The Marketing Technology Blog
Hey Doug -
At the risk of sounding totally self-congratulatory, here's a piece I created that is getting good search-engine traffic and one that my regular readers also enjoyed:
No-Complaining Bracelet Rules: Are you sticking to them?
I have a few like that -- to God alone be the glory!
Though I admit I do know what you mean -- sometimes I skew more in favor of SEO than my regular readers, but I'm glad my regular readers still keep coming back because they like me.
It's like I am with Ilker Yoldas' TheThinkingBlog.com: I just keep reading it because I like him, so he could write SEO and I'd still be there as his regular reader!
Take care and thanks for responding,
Paula

Thanks, Paula. Hopefully, you take this the right way - but I think you helped to actually support my premise. Your mention of "no-complaining bracelet" several times in the first few passages just doesn't ring true - it reads like SEO was the priority rather than like you were talking to me.
The post is a great one, please don't take me the wrong way. But in 5 years when search engines can disseminate topical data without the need to write for them - would this be a natural means of writing a post?
Ironically, I went to this post on the Thinking Blog and the first paragraph has 21 gratuitous links in it for deep linking to his blog. Those links are purely for search engines, not for you and me.
With all due respect!
Doug

Believe it or not, you can actually write for search engines AND your readers.
I like to think both/and instead of either/or.

Paula,
Any chance that I can challenge you to provide such a demonstration? I don't doubt that it isn't possible - I think there are probably ways of doing both. However, I can't identify any examples. (Perhaps that's because the author did such a good job of utilizing both techniques.)
I would love to see a random post that is written well and compare it to a post that is written well AND utilizes techniques for Search Engines.
Thanks!
Doug

Interesting.
Sneaky indeed, from the man who said I was "gaming" the system by using blogging chicks javascript blogroll to increase my Technorati ranking!
So how'd you get those favorites on your blog that show up as you linking to folks?
I'd better go check Technorati tools section again...
Congrats on being #99 -- I think your goal to hit #37 (my age, by the way) is very doable.
I've already favored your blog a while ago.
Maybe if you offered to favor everyone's blog that favors your blog on Technorati, you'll be in Technorati's top #10 (or at least close) by the end of this month.
Just a thought...

in Sponsored Reviews Now Live – In Depth Review on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
Yep, I made my first $16 yesterday form SponsoredReviews.com already. I set my blog review big at 75 bucks. And then I was rejected by one advertiser that I set my bid price at $100 for. Think I'll try again later...

I don't publish full earnings, and it is hard to say what classes as blogging and what classes as earning from blogging.
I noticed some of the figures you published were from monthly checks, and lots of people publishing earnings don't publish costs. That is creative accounting for marketing purposes.
