I'm certainly no bodybuilder, but am looking at getting back into better shape than I have been in years. I do like to have the occasional bit of alcohol and I do agree that it does all those things, but I would think it's not very likely to be as huge a problem when you drink one drink a month or even one drink a week. It's when it's a six pack (or more) every night that you see the real damage.

Well, Gary -- you are your own worst critic. These are gorgeous photos and worthy of any magazine layout. Your description of the difficulties involved in taking them has certainly lent a better appreciation by me of anyone attempting to take underwater photos.

Breathtaking photos! Of course my favorites are the birds, but the wildlife and scenery are phenomenal, too! Maybe one day I can visit this park.

I used Disqus for some time now, but the fact that the comments are not importable into my existing database and are hosted out of my control have made me uncomfortable to the point that I've now discontinued it. I'm searching for a way to import the RSS feed that I saved of the comments into my database, but have so far been unsuccessful. If anyone knows of a way to do this, I would love to get that information.

Yes, I have the two widgets installed on my blog for showing the Disqus comments, but the mere fact that they aren't WITH the post they were set for is disturbing to me.

Maybe I'm too much of a control freak. It's the DBA in me -- I want my data where I can access it and control it.

As for video commenting, well, I'm on the fence on that one.

I didn't watch any of this as I had no interest in it at all. MJ's music is OK, but the life he led was very foreign to me. However, I did hear his daughter's eulogy on the radio as I drove into work this morning and her clear and present grief over losing her father moved me to tears also. I don't really know how anyone could remain unmoved by it...

I do feel great sorrow for his children. To his credit, he evidently took great pains to shelter them from the dark side of the world he inhabited. I hope their grandparents and other family make as much effort to keep their lives normal and out of public scrutiny.
